"Tabitha," Grandpa Fernos hissed from where he was standing. He glared at my grandmother, causing her to roll her eyes.

"Fernos," she replied, not even bothered by the look he was giving her. She noticed the Dark Warlock/Demon Hybrid beside him and looked at me. "He good?" she asked. "If not, I'll kill him if you want me to." She glared at the male, causing him to hold his hands up in surrender, a smirk curving on his lips.

"He's good," I replied. "For now." I bit back an innocent smile when he glared playfully at me, knowing that he wouldn't do anything because Grandpa Fernos had turned his gaze on him.

"I'm Cromwell, Your Majesty," he said, bowing his head. "I'm Fernos's brother."

"Half-brother," Fernos replied, darkly. He turned to look at Grandma Tabitha, scowling. "What is the meaning of this interruption?" he asked. "Do you know?"

"That she is Siran? Of course, I know." She rolled her eyes at him before looking at Cromwell. "Half-brother, you say?" she asked, causing him to nod his head. "You seem to have a good spirit, so I like you better than him." She nodded her head to Grandpa Fernos causing him to hiss out a warning and glare. She smiled innocently at him, causing his glare to deepen.

"Grandma Tabitha," I said, biting back a snicker. I bit back an amused smile when Grandpa Fernos turned his hard gaze to me, glaring. I held my hands in surrender before looking at her and the vial that she held. "What's that?" I asked, curious.

"Kyler," he warned, causing me to roll my eyes. "The box?"

"If that is the test for the food, then the box can wait," I said. I reached into my bag and pulled out some food and drink. "Here. I did what you had told me to do got a bit of everything. The tea was hard to get."

"Open the box while I get this set up. We'll talk about Andrei's letter after that." She took the food from me and went into the kitchen part.

My face paled slightly as she said that, and I took a deep shuddering breath. I had no idea if I wanted to know.

"Note?" Grandpa Fernos asked, causing me to nod my head. "What note?"

"Uhhhh... the note that he had left for me," I said. "In my birthday present."

Grandpa Fernos leaned on the table, placing his arms on the table. "And when did he give you this... present?"

"Before I left," I replied. "I found it again this morning because they were still in my pockets."

"What does the note say?" he asked.

"Words," I replied, causing him to scowl. "It's basically a note apologizing and telling me that he did love me, but he is underneath some spell..?" I looked at Grandma Tabitha when I said that.

"That's a possibility," she replied, taking some pots and pans out and putting it on the stove. "Go ahead and open the box, Dear," she said.

"I want t-"

"We'll talk about the letter and the n- gift later. Open the box before your f- grandfather has a heart attack," Grandma Tabitha said, causing Grandpa Fernos's to scowl deepen.

I took a deep breath and nodded my head as I turned my attention back to the box. I was about to submit the key into the lock when the door leading to the outside opened and three people walked in.

"And then she just cussed out my father and grandfather with her mother cheering her on," Emmanuel said, probably talking about his dad taking the throne.

"Oh, come on," I groaned, banging my head on the table. "For once can someone not interrupt me?"

Emmanuel stopped talking when I said that and cocked his head, furrowing his brows. "What's the big idea if we interrupt you or not?" he asked. "What is so important that Fernos is glaring at us?"

"It's because he is a grumpy fart," Grandma Tabitha said. "And old."

"In Demon years, he is, but in Human years, he isn't," I said, defending him. I shrugged. "I just like to be a pain and call him "Grandpa" because he hates it."

"You're always a pain, Ky," Theodore said, causing me to shrug my shoulder. "Even I know that, and I haven't known you long."

"Fair point," I replied.

"Get OUT," my grandfather boomed, pointing towards the kitchen door. "NOW!"

"Ok, geez, what died in your pants?" Emmanuel asked, gesturing for them to follow him as he started to make his way to the door. "Come on, I'll show you to your rooms. You'll probably both share a room. I don't know if we have an av-"

"Let go of my fucking ear, you stupid bitch," somebody said, causing me and my wolf to bristle and growl softly. "You do not have to drag me from my room where I was sleeping to go somewhere."

There was no other sound except for the person cussing because Tabitha still didn't speak.

"Ow," the person said, sounding closer. "Let go of my ear before I turn you into a-" The door to the kitchen opened, almost hitting Emmanuel in the face.

Tabitha stood there, holding Orion's ear. There were tears in her eyes causing me to growl out a deep warning.

Orion blinked hazily and looked around. He looked like shit with a long beard and hair, and the smell that followed him around was so disgusting that it made Emmanuel almost throw up.

His blue eyes caught mine, his mouth partially open. Again, he blinked and rubbed his eyes as he tried to wake himself from a dream. He opened his eyes again to see that I was still glaring at him, the hold on his ear forgotten. "-toad."
