No one spoke nor moved. They all watched me with expressions that I couldn't understand while I gathered myself until I was finally ready to stand and face them. They still didn't say a word when I walked over to both Adam and Cornelious and made sure that they were alive.

"Grams," I said, breaking the silence that had fallen on us, and I looked at my grandmother, making sure to keep my emotions and questions in check. I glanced at them and then looked at her, silently asking if she could help.

My grandmother nodded her head and moved to my side, taking down the wall that kept them separate from both Grand and myself. She reached into her pocket and pulled a small vial out of her pocket that would help them gain consciousness.

Under my watchful gaze, she set the small vial under both Adam's and Cornelious's nose, and they both took a whiff of it before letting out a groan. She capped the vial when they started to stir and moved away from them.

"Are they going to be ok?" Theodore asked, his voice barely above a whisper. "Will they remember what had happened?"

I nodded. "They are, and they will," I said. I grabbed my phone from my pocket and looked at the time. "They won't be under the truth serum any longer," I said. "However, I don't think I need it."

Adam was the first to sit up and looked around. His whole body was tense, and his nostrils flared while he took in the sights and sounds of everything, making sure that he and his Beta were safe.

"You're safe," I said, sticking my phone back into my pocket. I raised an eyebrow when he looked at me and growled with narrowed eyes, unamused. "Don't be like that, Alpha," I scolded, and he frowned. "I did save your life."

Adam relaxed and nodded his head. He looked at his hands and then looked at me. "What did you do?" he asked. "What was that? What happened?"

"Truth serum and I took the control that was on you off," I replied. I sat back on my haunches and studied him. "Grand has no control over you any longer." I nodded my head to Cornelius. "Neither does he have control over him."

Adam furrowed his brows and nodded his head again. "How did you know?" he asked, studying me. "That I was supposed to be the Alpha of the pack?"

"Research," I replied.

"Tasha being my sister and not cousin?"

I shrugged. "A gut feeling," I replied. "You kept looking at her the way that my brother looks at me when I'm not looking, the one that siblings give each other." I nodded to Orion, and Adam glanced that way before he looked at me. "He gives the same look to his sister."

Adam nodded. "You're smart," he said, and I bit back a snort. Again, he looked at Orion before he looked at me. Guilt filled his expression, and I could see a bit of sadness in his eyes.

I shrugged, again. "I notice things," I replied. "There's a difference." I cleared my throat and nodded toward Orion. "You don't have anything else holding you back," I pointed out, and he ducked his head.

"Wait, what?" Theodore asked, looking between the two of them. Confusion filled his eyes. "What is going on?"

Adam licked his lips and cleared his throat. "Orion is..." He trailed off and looked up at me. Fear filled his eyes, and I could see something haunting him in the depths of it.

"...his mate," Orion finished his voice barely above a whisper. He stayed rooted in his spot and stared at Adam with a sense of longing filling his eyes.

Adam stayed rooted in his spot. He didn't move towards Orion, but I could tell that he wanted to. Guilt filled his eyes, and I had a feeling that he felt guilty for rejecting his mate. He nodded his head. "He is my mate," he confirmed, and Orion took a deep, shuddering breath.

"Then why aren't you going to him?" I asked, cocking my head and studying the male before me, and he pulled his gaze away from him to look at me. "I mean, we're all used to interspecies relationships, except for the members of your pack." I furrowed my brows and nodded my head to Cromwell. "And maybe him."

Cromwell didn't reply but shrugged. He placed his hands behind his back and studied us, staying silent. His face grave and darkened, and I couldn't help but wonder what was going through his mind.

Cromwell noticed me staring at him and offered me a small smile. Slowly, he shook his head, and I could tell that he did not want me to ask him any questions, so all I did was scowl and gave him a small nod that was only noticed by my grandfather.

Adam cleared his throat, and I looked at him. He looked at me before he looked at his mate and then at him. Confliction filled his eyes, and I could tell that he had no idea if he should go over to him or not. He stayed silent while he waited for some sign to tell him what to do.

I narrowed my eyes and scowled. "Go," I said, "before I drop kick your ass to the floor because I am mad at you."

He stayed silent and raised an eyebrow. Silently, he wondered why I was mad at him when he hadn't done anything to me or anyone that I cared about.

"You rejected him," I said, nodding to Orion, and he looked that way before he looked at me. "I know that you didn't mean to or wanted to, but you did reject him." I watched him lower his head to hide the guilt that he felt for doing such a thing. I sighed and shook my head before I offered him a small smile. "But, I forgive you because I know that you didn't want to."

Adam looked relieved, and he nodded his head. "Thank you," he said, "for everything."

I smiled and nodded, relieved. "No problem," I said. I cleared my throat and gestured toward him. "So, go ahead and go over to him. You can leave. I'll keep an eye on Cornelius for you. Nothing will happen to him while I am watching him."

Adam nodded and walked over to his mate. He stood an inch away from Orion, and I could hear Orion's heart pick up speed. Slowly and hesitantly, he reached forward and touched Orion's cheek, and Orion melted like butter.

Orion pulled Adam into a hug, and Adam grew stiff before he hugged him back. "I accept you as my mate," Orion whispered, his voice barely loud enough for my Werewolf hearing. "I will always accept you as my mate."

Adam grew tense before he relaxed and hugged Orion closer to his body. He buried his face into his mate's neck and took in his scent, calming both himself and his wolf. "And I accept you," he mumbled against Orion's neck, and Orion let out a soft gasp. "And I will always accept you if I am not in control of someone."

Orion hugged Adam tighter when he said that, and a small strangled sob escaped his tight lips. His whole body shook, and Adam soothed him. "Let's get out of here," he said, his voice cracking.

Adam picked Orion up and walked away, entrusting me to watch over Cornelius and contact him when he woke up. He didn't question anything that had happened to him, but I had a feeling that we were going to have a lot to discuss once they made up.

However, I didn't mind because I had questions of my own. I just hoped that it wouldn't be too late to ask them.
