One Shot One Kill

Chapter 1

"You have got to be kidding me! Are you insane Hawk?!" Lady Jaye spatted "She's an assassin! She's very different from us!"

"Exactly" Hawk said while pointing at Lady Jaye's direction "She's different and we need someone different. She specializes as a sharpshooter, a sniper. She's good at martial arts, I bet she can fight Snake eyes with no sweat" Hawk said looking at Snake eyes. His comment made the team more worried about danger "She's a good driver, the fastest racer I have ever know and I know you already knew about that. She's also an excellent pilot! She's very talented and she will fit as a joe perfectly" he said in a very excited tone

Fidi lifted up her hand "Excuse me? I don't really want to break your excitement but I'm going to have to reject" she said while letting out a sarcastic smile "I don't want to join your little justice daddy group, okay? And even if I did want, the others won't accept me, they're even looking at me like a weak prey so no"

"What are you talking​ about Fidi?" Hawk said showing his scary smile which made the joes' spine shiver in disgust "If I'm personally recruiting you that means you're not allowed to decline and besides you still have A LOT of debt to repay"

It seems like Fidi's ears exploded as soon as she heard the word 'debt'

She let out a sigh of defeat "The house won't be happy about this you know"

"Oh don't worry! I'll take care of that!" He winked at her "So?"

Fidi gave Hawk a respectful bow "I'll be in your care from now on"

"WHAT?!" Lady Jaye, once again, reacted "Hawk! I'm against this!"

"Jaye is right Hawk, we're not sure of her loyalty" Heavy duty added

"Hey" Fidi said, getting the attention of the team "I don't want to be here as well. I can leave if I want to but since I'm a woman who knows how to keep her words I decided to join because of the fcking dept! You don't have to spat in my face that you hate me. I already know that!" She rolled her eyes in annoyance "Can I go out now? Being stuck inside this room with these people makes me suffocate, I might kill them due to irritation"

Hawk nodded at Fidi "I'll have someone to show you your room" she didn't pay Hawk anymore attention and quickly left the room "You guys" he sighed

"Just what the hell is that about?" Lady Jaye asked, pissed

"I understand your point Jaye" Hawk said in a calm tone "But you shouldn't do that. She's a joe now, you have to accept that"

"But she's an assassin" Scarlett commented

"She's a good girl. I know her. Just take your time to know her better, you'll eventually find her amusing and innocent" he said, trying to persuade the team

"It's hard after she said she could kill us" Ripcord commented

"Just try, okay? I'll bet my own life if she betray us" Hawk said in a determined tone

"This is ridiculous" Lady Jaye said, leaving the office with Scarlett and Heavy duty following

"We should probably go" Ripcord said

"You guys go. Duke, snake eyes stay here" Hawk ordered

The others left the room, leaving Duke and Snake eyes with Hawk

"I know you don't want her here as well since she's an assassin but please try to understand her. Duke, you're the leader of the Alpha team and I am expecting a lot from you, I want you to understand her since I'm thinking of placing her with the Alpha team" Hawk said in a calm tone

Duke's eyes were showing confusion and worries "I'll try sir" he can't refuse since it sounded like an order "But may I ask? What's your relationship with her that you're desperate to have her in our team?"

"She's kind of like a daughter to me? Yeah something like that. I watched her, somehow, grew up. I want to tell you the truth but I can't because it is not mine to tell. If you try and befriend her, she might tell you. Just patience Duke"

Duke nodded his head "Yes sir"

"You may go now Duke" Hawk said

Duke made a quick salute and left the office

Hawk looked at snake eyes with a smile "Do you also think that she would be a nuisance? That she's threatening?"

Snake eyes took out a tablet and started typing. Hawk can't understand ASL so he had to type or write to converse with him

'I don't think she's a nuisance or a threat at all'

Hawk nodded his head in satisfaction "I knew your opinion is very different from the others since you're very calm and wise. So what does she look to you?"

'She's quiet and she's holding a huge secret with her. I thought at first that she's threatening but I don't feel any bloodlust coming from her at all'

"You're very understanding Snake eyes. Is it okay if I order you to stick with her for a while? Just until she's already blend in"

Snake eyes stood in his place for a minute, Thinking

Will she be okay with him? Is she really not threatening at all? Doesn't she really wear a facade in her face?

But since it's an order

'I can try'

Hawk smiled at Snake eyes. Patting his shoulder "Thank you. I'll have someone tell you where her room is. She's very unsociable sometimes but she's nice. You can show her around or practice with her, which ever pleases you" he said while winking at him

Snake eyes nodded his head and was about to leave

"Oh and Snake eyes!" Hawk called. Snake eyes looked back "Don't jump yet to goal, okay? Start with first base. She may be irresistible but she's dangerous with sudden actions"

Snake eyes shook his head in amusement, letting a smirk behind his mask

He clearly understands what Hawk was pertaining about..
