Chapter 6

Fidi suddenly opened her eyes while gasping for air. She noticed Snake Eyes was hugging her tightly but when she opened her eyes, Snake eyes quickly moved back to give her space

"Was I doing bad?" Fidi asked while holding her chest, still panting

'You did great' he signed 'despite all the pain you tried your best'

Fidi's tears started to fall from her eyes. She felt that she wants to say everything to Snake Eyes. She doesn't want to keep anything from him "I was pregnant back then" she sobbed "and I failed one mission. The House took me back to the headquarters and started to punish me. I tried my best to fight and protect the baby inside me. I always told myself that it will soon end but I didn't expected that they will take me to the white room, they injected the serum in my body. It was painful and unbearable but I didn't mind it, what scares me was the baby's life" she hugged herself while closing her eyes tightly "All that I can see after the unbearable pain was the oozing blood from my legs, it was tainting the hospital gown I was wearing. The serum killed the baby, my baby. They killed the only hope I have"

Snake Eyes almost gasped at her words. She was pregnant and the people who took her from her family are also the ones who killed her own child. Fidi can't see it but Snake Eyes was full of anger but seeing her broken state changed his anger to sadness

He slowly moved towards her and hugged her again 'I'm hear. Just let it all out' he signed

Fidi nodded her head and cried at his armored chest. She balled herself into Snake Eyes arms. He caress her hair quietly and gently until her breathing started to relax

"Thank you Snake for Everything" Fidi said, almost mumbling but Snake Eyes heard her "Before I opened my eyes earlier I heard a voice calling out for me. Was it you?" She asked but Snake Eyes didn't respond. She let out a small smile "I'll take that as a yes. Thank you, really. I know that you're silent because you have a reason. It must've been really important, Sorry"

Snake Eyes squeezed her arms, almost telling her that it was fine

"Call me Cassandra when we're alone. That's my real name" Fidi said in a soft tone and Snake Eyes nodded

They stayed in that position until Fidi fell asleep. As soon as she fell asleep, Snake Eyes carried her and placed her gently to her bed. He quietly wrapped her with the comforter and gently caress her cheeks, pushing the strands of her hair away from her face and wipe the remaining tears from her cheeks. He touched his mask, slowly lifting it off. He leaned down and kissed her forehead with so much love

He promise that no one will hurt her anymore, not Fidi nor Cassandra

Snake Eyes walked into the rec room. Scarlett saw him entering and was about to greet him when she noticed his aura "Is something wrong Snake?"

Snake Eyes looked at Scarlett, she was his past lover but it didn't work out since he fell into depression but they stayed good friends after everything has been settled. He shook his head signing that it was nothing

Scarlett placed her hands in her waist "You can't fool me Snake. Come on, tell me. We're the only ones here"

Snake Eyes hesitated before he raised his hand to sign 'I've fallen in love for Fidi'

Scarlett stood there, a little shock. She blinked twice before talking "What's the matter then?"

'I don't know if I have the right to fall in love'

Scarlett's eyes softens and stared to walk towards Snake Eyes "Listen to me Snake. You have the privilege to be happy and to fall in love. Why are you thinking that you don't have the right? Is it because of us?"
