Luis POV

Reality just set in for me.

I just shot somebody.

Someone who would've been my brother in law a few weeks ago.

He could be dead and here I am sitting in silence in a damn near empty parking lot.

I stared down at the gun seated beside me on the passenger seat.

Something that I bought to protect mine and his sister's house when we were married.

But he and Karina took that away from me.

Any chance of happiness I had, they took out of bitterness because I left Karina.

A silent cry behind me tore me from my thoughts.

I looked in the mirror seeing the tear stained face of Karley who I had strapped in the backseat.

I stared at her as she continued to cry.

This is the one person Karina's life revolves around.

The only person giving her purpose, happiness.

Biannca was that person for me.

I know what I said back at the wedding. That I only wanted her for her money, but that was just anger speaking for me.

I loved Biannca with all my heart and because of Karina and Benji, she left me.

Hell, she won't even answer my calls.

Karley started crying louder.

I sighed before taking the gun and looking at it in my hands.

Never in my life would I have thought I was actually gonna use this.

I put it back in the glove compartment before getting out of the car.

I took her out of the car rocking her gently.

"Shh." I swayed side to side trying to get her to calm down.

I don't know what I was thinking taking her with me.

Well I know what I was thinking...

I mean, I did want to hurt Karina the way she hurt me but... I don't know how to take care of a kid.

She continued to cry even louder.

I realized that she might have been hungry, so I walked into CVS to get her something.

I set her down on the floor in front of the candy section then watched as she stood still holding on to the front of her dress while looking at everything.

I could tell that she was thinking.

"Go get one Karley." I told her pointing at the various candy bars.

She looked at me but didn't move.

Instead she pouted, her big brown eyes glossed with tears.

I could feel people watching us and immediately felt paranoid.

Maybe they've seen us on the news. It has been a almost 8 hours, that's more than enough time to get the news to report.

I picked her up from the floor again then grabbed a chocolate bar, "Do you want this one?" I asked her while trying to hand it to her.

She shook her head in response.

I put it down then grabbed another before asking her again.
