Karina POV

I held Karley close to my chest as I walked into the hospital.

Colin and I took her back to the hotel to eat and sleep before going back to see Benji.

I stopped in front of Benji's room to see him awake and sitting up talking to Enzo, Biannca, Dana, Carmella, and Charlotte.

"Look Mamas, is that your Uncle Benji?" I asked pointing through the little window.

She smiled, nodding.

I opened the door, "Benji!" Karley shouted excitedly making me raise an eyebrow in surprise.

Benji looked over at us and smiled, "Hi princess!" He said as I walked over to hand her to him.

She hugged his neck giggling as he tickled her side.

I smiled then turned to everyone else, "Hey, you guys should go back to the hotel and get some rest. Me, Colin and Karley will stay with Benji." I said turning to everyone else in the room.

"Are you sure?" Charlotte asked.

I nodded, "Yeah Char. Go get some rest, I know you've been awake all night."

She nodded in response.

"But before you do, I wanted to say thank you to all of you. I know I've only met most of you a little less than a year ago and you all really did always come through for me when I needed you to. You guys will never understand how much I love you for that." I said.

Enzo stood up from his seat, "We love you too RiRi." He said making me roll my eyes playfully at the nickname.

"Okay, now go you guys. We got it from here." I said pushing Enzo slightly towards the door.

He laughed before they all said bye to Benji then left.

Once they were all gone I closed the door.

I walked back over to sit beside Benji and Karley on his bed.

He was hugging her tightly as she rested her head on his shoulder.

I smiled to myself at the sight.

"You know, if anything happened to her I would've understood if you blamed it all on me." He said.

"Honestly, I wanted to. I wanted to blame you and Zo for convincing me to leave her, but I knew I couldn't because it wasn't either of you're faults." I said truthfully.

"You know I would never want Karley in any kind of danger." He said.

"I know Benj. And I've always known that. You care about Karley just as much as you do me. But I never thought you would be willing to risk your own life for us." I said starting to get teary eyed. "But here we are sitting in this hospital bed after you just got a bullet hole, that was meant for Karley and to ruin my life, patched up. You are the best friend anybody could ever ask for. You know that? And I love you to the moon and back a thousand times. I-"

He cut me off chuckling, "Okay Kari, I get it."

I laughed, "I guess the short version of that is, thank you Benjamin. I don't know what I would do without you." I said.
