(A/N okay so I know I said this chapter would be the last, but I lied. There will be one more after this one. Hope you enjoy.)
Karina POV
I woke up to the feeling of the sun shining on my face.
"Karina?" I heard a familiar voice say from beside me.
After a couple seconds she called my name again.
"Kayleigh?" I asked seeing her kneeling beside me.
"And David." I heard Dave say making me look at him.
I sat up in the bed looking back and forth between them.
"Did you miss us?" Dave asked with a smile on his face.
I laughed a little trying to shake out of my shocked state, "Well.. yes but..."
"But? Dang, rude." Kay joked making me laugh again before standing up and looking around the room.
"Where are we?" I asked.
"Home." She said.
As soon as she said it, it all came back to me. This is the room we grew up in as kids. This can't be real though, I must be dreaming.
"You are dreaming Kari." Kay said as if she had read my mind.
"But that doesn't mean we're not actually here with you." Dave said.
I smiled as I turned to look at Kayleigh.
She smiled back then pulled me into a hug.
Dave joined in hugging both of us.
"Is this real?" I asked as we pulled away.
"As real as it can get." Dave said.
"We wanted to thank you Kari." Kay said.
"Thank me? For what?" I asked, confused.
She laughed a little, "Well let's start off with for taking care of Karley." She said.
"We know that was a huge responsibility to take on. Especially right after what happened." Dave added.
I smiled too, "You don't have to thank me, that little girl is my world." I said.
"We know she is Kari. We appreciate that she means so much to you." She said.
"She means everything to me. If it wasn't for her, I don't know how I would've made it through what happened. I would've been so lost." I said.
"We're glad she could be that for you." Kay said.
"She helped me a lot." I smiled thinking of her.
"She helped you get your husband too." David teased.
I laughed, "She really did. She was the whole reason he walked up to me on my first day." I said.
"No one can resist those big beautiful eyes. Not even a giant." Dave said.
"You know Kari, Colin's exactly the kind of guy I pictured you would marry. But I didn't think he would be so tall though." Kay giggled.
I smiled, "Yeah, he's a little out of my league though, let's be honest."
"I don't think so. You always had a set of standards for a guy. He met most of them." She said as she sat down on the bed I was previously on.
