Yan ang isang katagang pinanghahawakan ko simula nung makilala ko sya.

She was crying that day when I saw her, sitting in a sew saw. Alone, hugging her own knees.

I walked towards her direction and handed her my handkerchief

“Hoy bata, anong iniiyak-iyak mo dyan?”

Pagkasabi ko non. Nakita kong biglang tumigil sa pagyugyugan ang kanyang mga balikat, rason na tumigil ito sa pag-iyak. Unti-unti nyang inangat ang kanyang ulo at maamong tumingin sa akin.

Ngunit bago pa man ito makasagot may biglang sumigaw sa di kalayuan at mukhang tinatawag ito ng kung sino man. Mabilis itong tumayo at tumakbo palayo sakin. Samantalang si ako ay sinundan lang sya ng tingin. Pero bago pa ito makalayo sa dati nyang pwesto, bigla itong tumigil at tumakbo pabalik sakin.

Bago pa man ako makapagsalita mabilis nyang kinuha ang panyong hawak ko, na kani-kanina lang ay ini-abot ko sa kanya.

“Akin na ito ha. Bye!” sabi nito at tuluyan ng umalis.

Mapaglaro nga ata ang tadhana.

She became my buddy.

She became my shoulder to cry on.

She became my partner.

That little girl that I saw crying alone. Made a playground in my heart.

I was 7 years old when I met her and now we are both 17 years old. The best thing is we are still together.

Until this weird feeling came when I am 10.

And this is the start of my downfall heartbreak.

Because,

I fell in love with my best friend.
