Taurus's POV

I open the door the boy's cabin cautiously. I walk in to see Cap asleep and a bunch pencils and pens next to him on the ground. I shrugged it off and assumed he was probably writing something.

I sat down on his bed and began to rub my fingers through his messy hair. He flinched at the sudden touch, but soon relaxed as I continued.

"I love you," I whispered. A smile crept up onto his face.

I laid down beside him and placed his arm around my waist. I observed his face closely since I probably couldn't get this close to him in a while.

He had sparse freckles across the bridge of his nose. Dark and thick eyebrows. Soft, yet slightly chapped lips. And a strong jawline.

I began to grow sleepy. The bed was warm and comforting. My eyelids began to flutter shut. I shut my eyes for a moment to just 'rest my eyes'.

"Hey, beautiful," a raspy voice greeted me. I opened my eyes and met a pair of warm brown ones.

"Hey, handsome." He tightened his grip on my waist and pulled me in closer.

"Whatcha doing here?"

"Just wanted to spend some time with you."

"I thought you were hanging out with Scorpio."

"Something came up," I answered vaguely. I was hoping he wouldn't pry at it.

The kiss Scorpio gave me made me uncomfortable. Pisces not believing me made me uncomfortable. It was like some of the people who claimed to be my best friends were changing on me. It was like the ocean deciding to change from low to high tide in a second and the dock I was sitting on was just submerged by water. It felt like I was drowning in changes that I never asked for.

"Darling, you okay?"

"I'm fine," I whimpered. "I just need you right now."

"Alright." I rested my head in the nook of his neck and let his arms hold me close to him. He was like the anchor that holds everything in place. "I love you."

"I love you too."

Cancer's POV

Everyone was falling in love and I wasn't. I want someone to hold me, play with my hair, and laugh at all my dumb corny jokes.

Instead of that, I was playing checkers with Virgo. He was winning, mainly because I suck at checkers. He held all of my red pieces in captivity whilst his three black kings were finding new hostages.

"Can you let me win once," I suggest.

"Next game, okay?"

"Alright."

I move my red pieces and it instantly gets captured, leaving me with two more.

I move my other piece into a zone of protection. Virgo moves his king into an area to vulnerability. I immediately take the chance to jump him. I take the piece and look at the board to see Virgo took my other piece.

"Ugh, you win!"

"No, we didn't finish the game yet."
