Virgo's POV

Hydra decided that she wanted us to built trust with each other. The way she wanted to do that was with 'trust' exercises. The reason for the quotes around trust was because water ballon toss, piggyback, wheelbarrow, and three-legged races are not trust exercises.

She chose our partners by random, but made sure boys were with boys and girls were with girls. I liked the way things came out. I was teamed up with Cancer. The piggyback race should be easier for us because he's the lightest person.

I glanced around at our competition. Cap and Scorp were conveniently stuck together. Note the sarcasm. Aries and Aqua. Libra and Leo. Sagittarius and Pisces. Taurus and Gemini.

"We have this," I whispered to Cancer.

"I don't think so."

"Why not?"

"I'm not the most athletic. I'm a lot shorter than you, so the three-legged race is gonna be awkward. I just don't know."

"Cmon, Cancie. We could win this."

"How?"

"You're lighter than me."

"And what does that have to do with anything?"

"Look at everyone else."

"Prettier, smarter, and funnier." I frowned at his response. How could he think that about himself? He's beauti_ what am I saying? He's probably not even into guys.

"You're pretty, smart, and funny_"

"Funny looking?"

"No. Cancer any girl would be lucky to have you as her boyfriend."

"I'm gay. Thought it was pretty obvious."

"Thank god, I'm not the only one here."

"You're gay?"

"Thought it was pretty obvious," I mimicked his previous tone.

"Now that you say it..."

"Please don't finish that."

"So, what were you gonna say before. It was something about winning."

"Oh yeah. Everyone else's partners are about the same weight as them, so their going to be lifting their body weight."

"So since I'm lighter than you, I'm easier to carry."

"Exactly."

"So I have some worth?"

"Cancie, you've always had worth."

Scorpio's POV

The first event of the trust exercises was the piggyback race. I didn't know how I was gonna to get onto Cap's back without feeling weird.

"How much do you weigh?" he asked me.

"139 pounds."

"Okay, I guess I'll carry you."

"Why? How much do you weigh?"

"147. It'll be easier for me to lift you."

"This is gonna be weird."

"It's not weird unless we make it weird."

"Sure," I scoffed.

"Look. It's just forty meters."

"Forty meters of awkwardness."

"Does it matter? I thought we were friends."

"No. Your girlfriend is my friend. We're not friends."

"Taurus said you two had a fall out."

"That's only because I kissed her," I blurted. I immediately regretted the words that came out of my mouth. I looked up at him. I couldn't tell the emotions behind his eyes.

"You kissed her?"

"I..."

"I don't want an explanation. I asked you did you kiss her?"

"Yea, but_"

"I don't care."

There was a pause of silence between us. He was clearly irritated by the situation.

"I'm sorry," I whispered. "I didn't mean to."

"Why would you do it?"

"It's complicated. I don't even understand."

"Do you like her?"

"I liked her. Some feelings are still there, but I'm trying to give up on her. I know you and her are strong together and I probably don't have a chance."

"Okay. I'll believe that you're trying to get over her, but if I hear that you kiss her again, I'll make sure I'll put an identification badge near your remains."

"Alright."

"I don't want to do that to you. If you ever need help to move on, I can help you."

"Just answer me something."

"What is it."

"What's one of your biggest fears?"

"Losing her."

"Why?"

"If you knew how I grew up, you would understand."

He seemed like he had everything together. He looked like he had a perfect life and childhood, he even had a hot mom. His dad and older brother were lawyers and mom is a doctor. What possibly could he have grown up with?

Sagittarius's POV

"Umm... Pi, I hate to break this to you,but you're gonna have to carry me."

"What?" the blonde gasped. "I can't carry you."

"I can't carry you either. My ankle's all janked up. I can't put any stress on it."

"Just lift with your legs and don't try to run."

"Why not?"

"It's like carrying a mattress and trying to run with it."

"Oh okay."

"Are you guys ready?" Hydra asked through her megaphone. I hopped onto the smaller girl's back and felt her knees buckle in. "On your mark....get set...go!"

I felt Cance and Virg whizz by us. Pisces took a few steps and then we both collapsed onto the ground.

"I'm sorry."

"It's fine. We have three more events we can win."

We got up and brushed the dirt and grass off of our clothes. I went to get myself back up and then...

"Babe!" There was a sudden flash of pink and then a pair of green orbs peered into my blue ones. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine."

"Are you sure?"

"Positive, princess."

She pressed her lips against mine, leaving gloss to cover my lips. She then stood, pulled me up to stand, and the handed me my crutches.

She was always so caring and protective. She's kinda like one of those helicopter moms that's always hovering over their kid. I guess I fell in love with her maternal instincts and loyalty. I guess I fell so hard, I need these damn crutches to keep me up.

Is Virgo in love with someone special?

Will Cancer become more confident in himself?

Why does Sag make so many corny jokes?

And what happened while Cap was growing up?
