ALISSYANNA POV
“What are we going to do about the dwarves?” He asked, as though nothing had even happened.
“I don’t know. I can’t do anything. I have eyes on me everywhere I go. It’s up to you Bilbo.” He sighed, and then cocked his head to the side.
“I-I was exploring a little, I saw barrels. In the basement, wine barrels.” I turned to him. “They were empty, enough for all of them, you, and two extra. There is a party going on, the only problem we face is getting them past the guards.”
“Elves love their wine. Leave them a bottle or two on the table, they’ll do the rest.” I smirked.
“Then we get the barrels into the river with the ramp thing, then, we’re out!”
“Bilbo you are a genius!” I cried throwing me arms around the hobbit and kissing his cheek.
“Get the keys and meet me by the cells in an hour! Don’t forget to leave the wine on the table, do it while they are changing shifts.” He looked at me, smiling. “Well pip, pip!”
“Uh right.” He slipped the ring on and took off down the hall. Gods I loved that hobbit!

TAURIEL POV
He was quite handsome, for a dwarf. His flirting skills were good to; almost had me fooled, if it had not been for his eyes. They didn’t stray from mine. But that could have simply been politeness. There was something else about them to. When he was with Alissyanna, earlier that afternoon, every time she spoke, touched him, or even looked at him, his eyes lit up, shining brighter than stars. Without her there, he wasn’t the same. She clearly made a strong impact on this dwarf. I will admit, I played along with his game. She was my friend; I wanted to see how true he was to her. And I got my answer. Very true.
As instructed by my lord Thranduil, I was keeping an eye on our seraph friend. She was walking. Just walking, she stopped next to balcony. Slowly she stepped out onto the balcony. Her silver hair sparkled in the moon light. Not being able to help myself I made my way to the terrace.
“It has been a long time, my friend.” She said when I stepped next to her.
“Yes, it has.”
“How are they? Your parents?”
“Good, I think. I haven’t seen them in a while.” Alissyanna nodded then turned to me. She had been friends with my mother for many years. I remember her visiting, she’d tell me stories of a world on the dark side of the moon, where angels roamed.
“The starlight’s beautiful isn’t it?” She said between clenched teeth. I knew then she’d seen me with the dwarf.
“Very.”
“Don’t bother watching me anymore, Tauriel, I’m not going anywhere.” With that the angel turned on her heel and strode back to the castle. “Oh, one more thing.” I turned to look at her. “Il amin cen lle neva ho oio au'.” (Do not let me see you near him ever again.) She warned, sending a shiver up my spine, her irises glowing orange. Alissyanna turned, leaving me alone on the balcony. I took a deep, shaky breath. I’d seen what happened if you did not listen to her warnings. I was little, she and I were alone, in Dale. A few men approached, drunk, it was late evening. She warned them to back away, only one escaped with his life.
I rejoined the party, still rolling her warning over in my mind.

BILBO POV
Ok, this wasn’t so hard. It may have taken a few more bottles, but two got them started! I quickly counted the bottles, two, three, four, fix, eight, ten, and two made twelve… well, at least we know that elves are no light weights!
I was sprinting up the stairs, keys in hand. I turned the corner and found their cells. Alissyanna was standing next to Balin’s cell, they were uttering words I didn’t understand, and they sounded to be arguing. Throwing her hands in the air she stomped down the hall then started pacing in front of their cells.
“We’re never going to get out of here.” Thorin sighed.
“Not if you’re stuck in there.” I said, slipping my ring into my pocket and revealing myself. He blinked several times; a little surprised by my appearing act, then smiled, clapping my shoulder with a heavy hand through the cell bars.
“Bilbo Baggins!” Balin laughed. Ali put her fingers to her lips, quieting him. I unlocked Thorin’s cell and then moved to the next. After all of them were out they started up the stairs.
“No! Not that way we’ll get caught! Come on, follow me.” Ali was following up the back, a small dagger in her hand, where did she get that? When we made it to the basement there were frustrated groans and sighs.
“Bilbo, you were supposed to take us up and out not farther in!” Bofur said. Thorin was looking down at me, not sure what to do next. They were all pacing in front of the barrels.
“Just get in the barrels, trust me. Please.” No one listened. Dwalin was mumbling something to Balin. Fili, Ori, Gloin, and Bombur were shaking their heads, silently scoffing the idea. Bifur was signing to Bofur who was translating it to Oin, Nori, and Dori. Kili and Ali were arguing over something entirely different than the barrels. I watched as her arm movements got more and more jerky and violent. He was holding his ground just fine, but she looked about ready to drown herself in a barrel of wine. I gave Thorin a pleading look, he nodded.
“Do as he says!” Thorin whisper yelled. Everyone turned to look at him. They all obediently got in their barrels. Ali was in one of the upper most barrels beside Ori. Even her small body had to be twisted and contorted in obscure ways to fit her whole self in the barrel.
“What now?”
“Hold your breath.” Everyone looked confused. I pulled the lever, making the ramp tilt and each and every barrel roll down the ramp and into the water below. I nodded then watched the ramp tilt back up. I heard voices, the female guard from earlier, she was coming, yelling at the drunken guards about the keys. Only then did I realize my mistake, I didn’t go with them, the dwarves, again we were separated.
I ran to the edge of the ramp. I padded lightly on the end, trying to see if I would have enough time to pull the lever and make it out. I concluded that I would not and stood there, thinking of something else to do. I noticed that I had started sliding backwards, oh lovely. I was just heavy enough to cause the ramp to tilt and leave me to splash down in the water.
The water was cool, quiet refreshing actually. I felt a hand on the back of my jacket, and then I was pulled up to the surface. Fili smiled at me, nodding his approval. I held onto his barrel. Thorin twisted around to look at me.
“Well done Master Baggins.” He grinned, then with the very little current we had we made our way to down the narrow passage way. “HOLD ON!” Thorin hollered. I held tight to the barrel. I saw light, then the mouth of the tunnel, and I heard the roar of the water… a waterfall.
We were plunged into the cold river water. The current was swift, very swift. I had lost my grip on Fili’s barrel but was caught by Nori. He pulled me up by one arm, trying to keep my head above water. It felt like we were being tossed around by the hands of small river children. I looked and saw the blonde elf from earlier. He had his prized bow in hand, he yelled something in his language, and then another dark haired elf blew a horn. We heard shouts and cries ahead. I looked and saw a stone bridge like structure built over the river, and then I saw a few elves move. An iron gate splashed down in the water, blocking our way. Thorin was the first there, he cried, banging his hands on the iron grate. We all started stopping stacking against one another. The guards took out their swords. One focused in on me, just as he did and arrow pierced his back, let out a groan then fell into the water. I thought it was good, till I saw what shot the arrow. Orcs.
