Why must work start at seven. Seven is too early but oh well. I got up, got dressed, brushed my teeth, ate, and then caught the bus for work. I got to work at 6:55, and I immediately went up to my office. It's been a few days since I've talked to Mr. Kasper. We've mostly been emailing at work, but we've never had a reason to actually speak to one another. Today will be different though. Mr. Kasper and I will be attending an important meeting together. I will have to write down notes at the meeting, and he will be discussing some important stuff with the other people there.
The meeting will start at one which means I have a couple of hours to get some other stuff done today. If I'm being completely honest, I am really nervous for the meeting today. I've never actually been to a meeting like this one before. I mean I've been to meetings for my other jobs, but they weren't very important meetings like this one. I hope I don't mess up and make a fool out of myself and Mr. Kasper.
A couple of hours later it was finally time for the meeting. I heard a knock on my door and yelled for them to come in. Mr. Kasper opened the door and walked straight in.
"You ready for the meeting?" Mr. Kasper asked.
"I think...all I have to do is take notes right?" I asked nervously playing with my watch.
"Yeah and if you have a question you can ask me because I will be right next to you."
"The whole time?"
"The whole time." He said smiling.
"Anyways, let's go before we're late." He said as he walked out my door.
I stood up and followed him. I couldn't believe how relaxed he was about this. I'm not even the one speaking, and I'm more nervous than he is. Then again, he has done these types of things before.
"By the way, since the meeting isn't here we will be taking my car. I mean you can drive yourself, but I figured it would be easier this way." He said turning his head to look back at me.
Well considering the fact that I don't have a car I think that would be much easier too. I thought to myself.
"Yeah, that's probably the easiest thing to do." I said smiling.
"Okay, well my car is parked close to the building so we won't have to walk as far once we enter the parking lot." He said as we entered the elevator.
We finally got to his car and drove to the meeting. The building wasn't to far away so the drive didn't really take that long. After about ten minutes, we entered the building. The building was nice but not as nice as the office. We walked up to the elevator and waited for it to come down. Once the doors opened, we got inside, and Mr. Kasper pushed the 8th floor button. We waited in the elevator for a few minutes and then came to a stop. The doors opened, and Mr. Kasper and I walked to the meeting room.
There were already some people inside the room but not a lot. The men were dressed in fancy suits, and the women were dressed in nice dresses. Then there was me. I was dressed in a blouse and some skinny jeans. Way to dress for the occasion Skye. We sat down in two empty chairs that were next to each other and waited for others to arrive. Then a women came in who was definitely different from the other girls. She was different from the other girls. She wore a blouse that was a little fancier than mine, but she also had on skinny jeans and some flats.
She must of been the last person because right when she sat down we go started. First the man had us introduce ourselves. I learned that the lady who was dressed a bit like me was named Rebecca Wrenz. It was weird to hear Mr. Kasper say his full name because usually everyone addresses him by Mr. Kasper. I took notes, and Mr. Kasper talked some. About 2 hours later, the meeting was over. Then everyone got up and started talking to one another. I kind of just stood next to Mr. Kasper introducing myself to others.
