"What about Skye?" I asked nervously.
"Their's something about about Skye you don't know," Lily said.
"What is it?" I asked.
"Well, she told us the night of the crash something that may help figure out where she is or what happened to her," Lily said.
"Then tell me," I said blatantly.
Lily began to tell me everything Skye had told them. I had no idea what Skye had been going through, and I was a little curious as to why she told Rebecca and Lily but not me. She then opened the nightstand drawer to reveal numerous photos and letters all from this man named Jackson. If only she would have told me, I could have helped. After she finished telling me, I decided to walk down to my security team to ask if they could help me track Skye down.
I entered the building and entered the security room. I sat them all down and asked if anyone knew anything about tracking people down. Fortunately for me, a young man named Cody said he did. I asked everyone else to leave the room so I could talk to Cody about his new task. He sat at the computer and after a couple of minutes, he told me we would know Skye's location in two days.
"You can't find out anything any sooner?" I asked.
"This is as fast as it's going to get, Mr. Kasper." He said staring at the screen.
I decided to call Lily and Rebecca to tell them to keep looking around town for Skye. I looked all over town and had no luck. Lily called me back to say they couldn't find anything at all. It's almost as if she had never existed, but I knew this wasn't the case. For right now, I hate to say this, but the only thing we can do now is to wait.
Skye's POV
I absolutely hate this. I have had no luck in finding a job, and I hate this motel. I miss Elliot so much, but I know I can't involve him in any of this. Now, here I am, laying in bed unable to fall asleep once again. All I can think about is Elliot and my friends. I wish I could see them again, but I know that can never happen. The only thing I can do now is trying to forget them. I know it will be hard, but eventually, I will be able to leave them in the past.
Suddenly, someone knocked on the door. I'm surprised the door didn't just fall down due to the terrible condition it's in. It's 10 p.m., and honestly, I couldn't think of anyone who would be knocking on my door at this hour. I walked up to the door and looked through the peephole. I saw that no one was out there. It made me feel a little uneasy, but I decided to head back to bed. Right as I sat down, I heard another knock. I still decided to not answer until I heard my landlord's voice on the other side of the door.
"Skye, you still haven't paid for tonight." He said. I realized he was right and went to answer the door.
"Okay, hold on," I said as I got my money. Once again, I looked through the peephole to make sure it was him.
I opened the door, and right when I did I was met with a fist to the face knocking me completely to the ground. Then, I felt something cover my nose and mouth causing me to slowly fall asleep.
"I'm sorry, Skye." Was the last thing I heard my landlord say as I slowly went unconscious.
Elliot's POV
I sat next to Cody for the rest of the night watching him work his computer magic. I was tired, but I couldn't go to sleep knowing Skye was out there. I missed her so much. I missed her warm smile and her vibrant hazel eyes. I missed her beautiful personality that put everyone in a good mood. I love her, I love her so much. The thought of never seeing her again caused me so much pain. I hope I find her safe and sound.
"Mr. Kasper, I recommend that you go home and get some sleep," Cody said staring at the screen.
"Thanks for your concern Cody, but I can't going to sleep knowing she's out there," I said yawning.
"Look, I know it's hard but please go home and at least try to get some sleep," Cody said turning around looking at me with pleading eyes.
"Okay, I'll try," I said standing up and stretching.
"Good, I'll see you tomorrow morning," Cody said watching me.
"Bye," I said yawning as I exited the door.
I drove back to my apartment but it felt empty. Yes, the furniture was all still there but the aura of the room felt empty. Nothing, not even money, could make me feel better. The only thing that I wanted, I couldn't have. The only thing that would make me feel better was to have Skye laying here right next to me. I hope we find her soon, and I hope Cody knows what he's doing with all of this tracking stuff. I laid down in bed and stared at my ceiling. Thoughts swirled around in my mind all night long causing me to not get any sleep. My alarm began to ring but it didn't matter because I was still awake.
I knew I wasn't going to get any sleep. I ate my breakfast and ran back to my car. I was hoping that a miracle would happen and we would be able to find Skye today. Unfortunately, I still had to wait a whole day. Cody and I just sat in the office as he worked on the computer. I watched as he hacked into various security cameras trying to follow her as she left my house. We found out that she took a cab and left somewhere. Now, we were just trying to figure out where she went.
