I'm running through a forest trying not to slip and fall on the wet grass that surrounds me. I don't know where I am or where I'm running to. I just know that I have to keep running. I can't let him get to me. Then suddenly I am hit by something. I can feel blood dripping down the sides of my face. I hear him coming closer and closer towards me. Until I hear him start talking to me. He keeps telling me to wake up, but I can barely hear him over the sound of my screams. Then I wake up.
"Skye! Skye wake up! Skye it's me, Elliot." He says as he tries to calm me down.
As soon as I wake up, I burst into tears.
"Shh, I'm right here." He says as he pulls me into a hug.
"Please, don't leave." I manage to say.
He carefully rests his back against the headboard of my bed, and I rest my face on his chest. My sobs become muffled as I bury my face into his chest. After crying for a few minutes, I drift off into the best sleep I've had in a while. I wake up to the sound of Elliot's soft snores. He really is adorable. I look at my alarm clock to see that it's 6:30 which means Elliot is late for work. I shake him as I try to wake him up.
"Elliot...Elliot wake up, you're late for work." I said softly.
"What time is it?" He said with his eyes still closed.
"6:30."
"I'll go in a few minutes." He then pulled me back to his chest and went back to sleep.
I couldn't remember the last time I felt this safe with a man. I stopped trusting people after my trust had been completely broken by one man. Now I have Elliot, and he has definitely earned my trust. I ended up falling asleep along with Elliot a few minutes later. Once we finally arrived at work it was 7:15. Today was filled with many boring tasks such as going to meetings with Elliot, doing some more paperwork, and then filing some papers. I was really excited to get home because tonight was the night Rebecca and I decided to go to the club. As soon as work ended, I sprinted to Elliot's office and knocked on the door.
"Are you ready to go yet?" I said excitedly.
Elliot walked out of the office as soon as I said that.
"Come on, let's go!" I said running towards the elevator leaving Elliot to follow me.
Once we were out of the elevator, we quickly walked towards Elliot's car. We stepped out of the car into the cool, night air. We took the elevator up to his apartment and then walked down the hallway until we reached his room. I ran to my room and quickly did my hair, makeup, and changed into my dress. I put my hair into a high ponytail and curled it. Then I did a smokey eye eye-shadow and put on some dark red lipstick. After doing all of this, I slid into my strapless, skin-tight, black dress that had the back cut out of it and then put on my black heels. I walked out into the living room where Elliot was sitting.
"You look gorgeous." He said as he turned around.
"Thank you!" I said as I heard a knock at the door.
I walked towards the door and opened it. Rebecca stood there in a tight red dress that had the sides cut out of it. Her hair was down and had been straightened and she had done a very dramatic makeup look which really looked good on her. I told Elliot goodbye and then Rebecca lead me to her car. We hopped in her red sports car and drove away. We entered the club and walked straight to the bar. Rebecca ordered us a round of shots, and we began drinking. I was a little skeptical at first, but then I figured it would help get my mind off of some things. We drank until I was completely wasted.
Rebecca, however, has a very high alcohol tolerance. Apparently, it takes a lot for her to become drunk. We walked towards the crowd of people dancing and joined in until a random girl walked up to us. She had icy blue eyes and almost platinum blonde hair.
"You do realize the only way you could have gotten that job with Elliot Kasper is that you must have slept with him right?" She said smiling.
I was about to say something but Rebecca stepped in.
"I'm sorry, but were we supposed to be offended by that we weren't. The only thing that is really offending me is your face." Rebecca said confidently.
I watched as the girl dumped out her whole drink on Rebecca.
"Oh no! When I saw your face I thought you were a witch, so I thought if I poured my drink on you you would melt. " She said laughing at Rebecca.
I then watched as Rebecca punched the girl straight in the face.
"Oh...I thought if I punched you...maybe you would just go away, but I guess I was wrong. Unless maybe I just need to punch you harder. What do you think Skye?" She asked as she turned back to look at me.
"Come on Skye, let's get her." She said smiling at me.
Soon we were all fighting. Many people were crowded around us screaming and cheering for us. We punched, we kicked, we pulled each other's hair, but finally blondie went down. She stood up, looked us straight in the face, and started screaming at us. Then some of the club's security ran over to us and kicked all three of us out of the club. Rebecca held on to me tight because I was still very drunk. We sat down on a bench on the sidewalk for a few minutes as Rebecca looked around for any cabs that might be heading our way. Finally, one cab drove down the street and Rebecca flagged him down. Rebecca led me towards the cab, and we got in.
I couldn't believe how Rebecca wasn't even the slightest bit drunk, it was crazy. She told the cab to go to Elliot's apartment first so she could help me to his room. We got out and walked inside. The cab would only wait a few minutes for Rebecca so we had to be quick. We quickly walked towards the elevator and went up. It felt like it was taking forever, but I couldn't tell if it was because I was drunk or if it actually was taking forever. Rebecca led me down the hallway to Elliot's room. She knocked and after waiting a few seconds, Elliot opened the door. Elliot grabbed my hand and led me to the couch.
"Why do you guys both looked like you wrecked? Please don't tell me you were drunk driving!" I heard Elliot say.
"I would never ever drunk drive, that's very dangerous. Oh, and we look like we wrecked because we were actually in a fight with some blonde chick who thought she could mess with us." I heard Rebecca reply back.
"Anyways I have to get going, you can ask Skye about the fight when she's not completely wasted. Bye Skye! Hope you had fun tonight because I know I did!" Rebecca shouted towards me.
"Bye Rebecca! We need to do this again." I said as slurred my words together.
Rebecca quickly ran to the elevator trying to make it before the cab left without her. I guess she made it because she never came back and asked for a ride. Elliot sat down on the couch next to me. He started to talk to me, but I couldn't really pay attention.
"Are you even listening Skye?" He said looking at me.
"Elliot."
"Yeah?" He said as he looked at me questioningly.
"I like you." I said smiling.
"What?" He said smiling.
"I like you." I said as I kissed his cheek and then walked away to my room.
I laid down on my bed without regretting anything I did tonight and quickly drifted off to sleep.
