Elliot's POV
I decided to drive out of town and check some nearby hotels to see if she was staying there. I stepped outside into the pouring rain.
Terrible weather to go with a terrible day, I thought to myself.
I visited many hotels and still couldn't find her. I couldn't believe she left without saying a word to me or to anyone else. She didn't even leave me a note to assure me that she was going to be okay. I still wondered why she told Rebecca and Lily about her past but not me, didn't she trust me? I remembered that getting mad was not going to bring Skye back home and would definitely not help with the situation. I had to remain hopeful even though it's hard. I drove back to the office to talk to Cody some more.
"Do you have any new leads?" I asked bursting through the door.
"No, not yet. I'm still trying to figure out where this cab went," Cody said intensely staring at the computer screen.
"We will definitely know her location tomorrow though if that makes you feel any better," Cody said.
"Okay, thank you," I said smiling knowing I'll see Skye tomorrow.
"You should probably head home and get some sleep. Not to be rude boss, but you look like you haven't slept good in a long time," Cody said.
"It's no use, Cody. I can't get any sleep knowing Skye is still out there," I said burying my face in the palms of my hands.
"Then sit on the couch over there and lay down. Maybe after we talk for a while you'll just get tired and fall asleep," Cody said.
"Okay," I replied as I laid down on the couch.
We talked about various things ranging from how he came to work here to things about Skye's disappearance. After talking for a while, Elliot dozed off.
Skye's POV
I wake up to find a large, dark figure standing in front of me. He then kicked me straight in the stomach causing me to wail out in pain.
"Get up," The dark figure said loudly.
I slowly managed to stand up. I noticed I had large cuts and bruises going down my arms and legs. Blood and dirt covered me from head to toe. If not all, at least most of my cuts were definitely infected.
"What happened to me?" I asked in a quiet voice.
"Nothing you need to worry about," The man said coldly.
There was no use trying to escape. I was locked up in a cell with a man twice my size. I was definitely not going to get past him. He took some rope out and forced my hands behind my back. I struggled to get away but he was so strong. My wrists were tightly bound by rope so I couldn't move my hands. The rope was tied so tightly that it was going to definitely leave deep cuts on my wrists. The man led me into the hallway.
I saw this as my time to try to make a run for it. I kicked the man where the sun doesn't shine and ran for it. Unfortunately, the man was a lot quicker than I thought he'd be and he grabbed me. He smacked me hard across the face sending me to the ground. He picked me up and threw me over his shoulder. He took me down some stairs into a basement and tied me to a chair that sat in the middle of the room. He then turned and walked out of the room. I sat there for a while and tried to get out of the chair until I heard the door creak open.
The devil himself then entered through the door. Jackson evilly smiled and walked towards me. I began to shake uncontrollably, I was so scared.
"I'm so glad you're finally here Skye!" Jackson said grinning. After a few minutes of silence, he began to speak again.
"I missed you and now that you're here we're going to have a lot of fun together. It will be just like old times," He said still smiling.
Elliot's POV
I woke back up to see Cody was still working.
"Find anything yet?" I asked yawning.
"I'm having trouble hacking into this security camera, but I should get it in a few minutes," He said.
"Okay, then what?" I asked rubbing my eyes.
"Then I'll hack some more security cameras till the cab reaches its destination," Cody replied.
"Okay, so are we still on track to get her location by tomorrow?" I asked.
"Yeah, we will definitely have it then," He said.
"Okay, and Cody?"
"Yeah?"
"Thank you, for everything you've done. You are definitely getting a bonus after this," I said smiling at him.
"No problem boss," He said laughing.
That was the first time I had smiled since Skye's disappearance. It felt good to smile again, and I'm glad that I have a hard worker like Cody to help me track her down. I laid back down on the couch and we talked some more about random things. I was so excited to see Skye again, and I couldn't wait to find out where she has been. I can't believe how well hidden Skye has kept herself these past few days. I just hope she's not hurt or in any kind of danger. I missed her so much and her disappearance has made me realize how much I love her. She brought so much happiness into my life and then once she disappeared it was like all the joy in the world disappeared.
It began to get really late. I watched the clock go from one hour to the next. Tomorrow soon became today, and Cody still hadn't found her location yet. I began to grow tired as the clock ticked from 1 a.m. to 2 a.m. and then so on. I walked out of the room to wake myself up. I watched as the sun rose over the city. I walked back into the room and laid down again. I was only asleep for a few minutes until Cody woke me up by shouting, "I found her!"
