There was a moment of silence after I said that. Elliot entered the parking lot of the building and parked. Elliot turned to look at me with a smile. Suddenly, he kisses me. He quickly pulled away leaving me shocked unable to say anything. Luckily, I didn't have to say anything because he quickly asked, "Skye, will you be my girlfriend?" Memories began to flood my head causing me to think about the last time I had a boyfriend. Finally, I realized that I need to move on from that. Elliot is not like him and never will be.
I looked at Elliot and said, "Okay, I'll be your girlfriend." I noticed a huge smile spread across his face that showed his cute little dimples. He then leaned in and kissed me on the cheek causing my cheeks to turn a bright red color. He smiled at me once more and then got out of the car. I did the same and followed him closely to the building knowing that he was still out there. We entered the elevator in a comfortable silence. In the middle of the ride up, Elliot broke the silence.
"I'm so glad you said yes. I feel like it would have been really awkward if you would have said no." He said still smiling.
"I'm glad I said yes too," I said still smiling.
"I've kinda liked you for a long time actually," Elliot said.
"Really? When did you first realize you liked me?" I said very curiously.
"That night when you fell asleep on the living room couch. I just sat there thinking how beautiful you looked. I then realized that I wanted to know more about you the more time we spent together." He said smiling as if he was reliving the night all over again.
The elevator dinged, and we walked out. Once we entered the living room I remembered how he said he wanted to know more about me. I also really wanted to know more about him.
"You know how you said you wanted to know more about me?" I asked.
"Yeah?" He said turning around to face me.
"Well, I was thinking, and I realize I want to know more about you too," I said walking towards the couch.
"So, I was thinking let's play 21 questions!" I said sitting on the couch.
"I like that game." He said as he sat down next to me on the couch.
"My friends and I used to play it all the time at my old school," I said thinking about them. I hadn't seen my friends for a very long time.
"Anyways, since I came up with the idea you get to decide who goes first," I said smiling.
"Okay, well I want to ask you a question first."
"Okay, ask away," I said curious about what he was going to ask.
"Why did you move here?" He asked.
"I wanted a fresh start, away from my family," I answered honestly.
"Why?" He asked.
"That's two questions. It's my turn now!" I said laughing.
"Fine..." He said smiling.
"How did you end up running your business?" I asked.
"I was already in college for a business degree, but my father was having some alcohol issues so I had to take over as soon as I was done with college." He answered a bit sadly.
"My turn!" He said as he returned to his happy attitude.
"Why did you want a fresh start?" He asked.
"My boyfriend and I were having issues, my family was constantly in my business, and I just felt like I needed some space," I answered.
"How many girlfriends have you had?" I asked curiously.
"Two."
"Really?"
"Yeah, why?"
"I thought you would have dated a lot of people," I said honestly.
"Well, you thought wrong." He said smiling.
"Anyways, it's my turn." He said as he thought of another question.
"What ended your relationship with your last boyfriend?" He asked.
"He kept trying to get me to move back home, but I didn't want to. So finally I broke it off with him because I couldn't handle it anymore."
"Same question to you," I said.
"Well, I ended it with my last girlfriend because she was a cheating, gold digger. First, she would always ask me for my money, and then one night I found her sleeping with one of my "friends".
"That sucks," I said feeling bad for Elliot.
"Tell me about it." He said as he rolled his eyes.
"Do you ever talk to your family anymore?" He asked.
"Not very often," I said coldly.
"Did your father ever get better?" I asked.
"No, he died a few weeks after I took over the business." He said sadly.
"Do you have any sisters or brothers?" He asked.
"Nope, I am an only child. I'm glad though because it made it easier to move away from everything." I answered.
"Same question to you!" I said.
"I have a sister named Lily. You will definitely have to meet her someday; you two would get along great." He said smiling.
"Do you ever talk to your old boyfriend anymore?" He asked.
"No, but he does try to talk to me sometimes, and I do my best to ignore it," I said.
"Are you still friends with your old girlfriend?" I asked trying not to think about his last question anymore.
"No, I haven't talked to her in a very long time." He said.
"Will I ever get to meet your family?" He asked hopefully.
"Maybe someday," I said.
"Will I ever get to meet your family?" I asked.
"You will definitely get to meet my sister. My mother you will eventually get to meet, but right now she is really busy with her fashion company." He said smiling.
"I didn't realize how late it was getting," I said.
"Yeah, we should probably get to sleep and finish this game some other time." He said standing.
"Okay, well I had fun tonight. I think I got to know you a little better." I said.
"I had a lot of fun too, and I also think I got to know you better too." He said smiling.
"Goodnight." He said as he kissed my cheek and walked to his room.
I entered my bed and looked at the clock, it was 11:58. I'm glad we decided to stop there. I would have been so tired tomorrow morning if we would have kept going. As soon as I hit the bed, I immediately fell asleep. I woke up the next day to find Elliot making me waffles, my favorite! We quickly ate together, then I went back to my room to change, and we finally left. Elliot quickly parked the car, and we walked to the building. Elliot grabbed my hand causing some paparazzi to take pictures of us. It wasn't a lot of paparazzi so we were still able to make it inside without having to talk to a million people.
We entered the building and attracted a few stares from some of the workers, but Elliot didn't seem to care so I didn't let it bother me. Once we got to our offices, which were fortunately right next to each other, Elliot kissed me on the cheek and entered his office. I did the same and walked into mine. Later in the day, I found an article on Elliot and I. The headline read 'Chicago's Newest Couple'. This is when I realized dating a billionaire would be a lot different than dating a regular guy.
