Chapter 42

~Lia's pov~

I run downstairs, pushing Aileen on the side.I pull the door, hitting it on the wall.

Jonah:Calm down Lia

Lia:I will later,Aileen honey your boyfriend is here!

Aileen:He's not my boyfriend

Jonah:She's not my girlfriend

Lia:Yeah,yeah whatever you say

I push them towards each other, hearing the small sound Aileen made when she saw Jonah.I look closely at him, he was wearing skinny jeans and T shirt.Nothing special.

~Aileens pov~

I scoff at Lia when she pushes me.Then it hit me.Jonah is here.I walk into my room and squeal, doing a happy dance.

Lia:Aileen honey your boyfriend is here!

I smile at the thought of Jonah being my boyfriend but rush downstairs not wanting to waste any of my Jonah-time.I quickly walk out and smile at Jonah before glaring at Lia.

Aileen:He's not my boyfriend

I looked over at Jonah who spoke not a second later than I did.

Jonah:She's not my girlfriend

Yet.I hope.I smile at Jonah as I examine his outfit.He was wearing a shirt and skinny jeans, not much but he made it look amazing.

~Jonah's pov~

I cringe when Lia yells for Aileen.

Lia:I will later,Aileen honey your boyfriend is here!

A few seconds later Aileen was here, suddenly getting the feeling to confirm we weren't dating.I open my mouth.

Jonah:She's not my girlfriend

Aileen:He's not my boyfriend

Yet.

I look over at Aileen who opened her mouth at the same time as me, suddenly getting interested in what she was wearing.

Aileen:Checking me out?

I instantly flushed up.I wasn't.Was I?I opened my mouth to explain but struggled to get the words out.

Jonah:I-I-I wasn't.Or was I.I don't know.I was just-you know, looking at your outfit

She smiled as I awkwardly laughed it off waiting for my face to turn back to its normal color.

I cleared my throat and walked out with Aileen,a little behind her.I turn around and mouth to Lia asking if I should open the door for her.I receive a nod and thumbs up from her I speed up and open Aileen's door for her closing it once she's inside.

Before we could even move I gave her the bag filled with candy.I smile as her eyes lit up and she dug into the bag.She looked up,her eyes meeting mine.

Aileen:What?

Jonah:Nothing,I just love to see you smile

~Lia's pov~

I looked through the survey to see 50 people had completed it.Eh.I stop access to my survey and delete the tweet.I look through the replies.Alex Andrea Miller.She sounds smart.

I lay down on the couch,staring into space.Listening to all the noise coming from outside.Almost falling off the couch before I get up and open the door for the person who knocked.

Lia:Hey,whats up-Zach?

Zach:Can I-come in?

Lia:Sure, why not?

He comes in and seats himself where I was previously relaxing.

Zach:Look Lia I'm sorry I was jealous of you and Daniel,you guys are always together and-

Lia:Zach,he's just my friend I don't like him that way

Zach:O-oh

I look ay my feet and then Zach's,his bouncing up and down repeatedly.I smile at him, encouraging him to talk.

Lia:Go ahead

Zach:You heard everything I said that night didn't you?

Lia:Uhh yeah, next time you should check if the person is really sleeping you know?

I let out a light laugh, making the situation a little less awkward.Zach and I both clear our throats, laughing when we realize.

Lia:This isn't even funny

Zach:Uh Lia,I like you

Lia:I gathered that...I uh think-I um like you too Zach

Zach:No,you don't get it I love your smile, the way your eyes light up and the small dimple on the right side that never gets noticed or the one on the left when you smile way too much.I love the way you walk around with your hair the messiest its ever been and don't care.I love when you get hugged you don't hug the person back but pat them on their back and awkwardly laugh.I even love your awkward laugh.Don't get me started on your genuine one.Lia,I like you a lot and I was hoping you could forget about what happened before you know with Alicia.If you don't then I get it, it's all my fault anyway

Lia:I like you a lot too Zach

I smiled at him, going deep into thought about what happened in the last few months, not wiping the grin off my face.

Lia:Zach?

Zach:Hmm?

Lia:Why are you staring at me?

Zach:I love to see you smile,I'd do anything.I'd walk I'd run I'd even learn to fly just to see you smile.You're just so precious when you smile.

~Aileen's pov~

I observed the cinema, staring at a picture on the wall for a few seconds before turning to Jonah.

Aileen:What do you want to watch?

Jonah:I don't know

Aileen:I wanna watch uh.. tomb raider?

Jonah:Uhhh sure

Aileen:Are you nervous?

Jonah:I'll take that as a yes

Aileen:Why?

Jonah:Uhhh

I pull him to the line after getting some popcorn, jumbo size, obviously along with some drinks before walking into the room.

Falling into my seat I start stuffing my mouth, watching the ads with great interest.

Aileen:That was a great movie!

Jonah:Yeah it was!

I follow Jonah,more like stumbled behind him as I was blindfolded.

Aileen:Where are we going?

Jonah:You'll see

~Jonah's pov~

My smile grew wider by the second,Aileen obviously being the cause of it.Her hair was a little messed up but she still managed to look perfect.I lead her to the old tree before I sit her down along with myself, on a blanket before taking out the bag of McDonalds from where Corbyn told me it would be before letting her see.She literally ripped the bag open, stuffing some chicken nuggets in her mouth before looking at me innocently.I steal a fry out of her hand and return an innocent smile.

A large meal later we made our way to the ice cream parlor and got the biggest Ice cream available.

We listen to one song on repeat,Perfect,her favorite.I watch her sing along,totally disagreeing with the words being sung.
