Chapter 39

Daniel:See I told you Zach wouldn't be home

Corbyn:Lets watch the fault in our stars

Jack:Do we have to?

I pushed Jack a little ,somehow causing him to fall, making his tantrum pause.

Jonah:I say we ask Aileen

Aileen:Well...There is this one movie...

Jonah:Yeah...

Aileen:It's called Gifted,the trailer is amazing

Daniel:Okay lets watch gifted then

We all shut up when the movie starts.Aileen's fingerling over 'Frank' while my eyes are trained on 'Mary'.We had a few bowls of popcorn scattered around us.I lean over to grab a handful, picking it up,I bring it towards my mouth but jump at the sound of a bang.

Corbyn pause the movie, getting up and grabbing a pillow from the floor.He held it up to his chest and slowly walks towards the door.I see him jump at the sound of someones voice, Zachs voice.

Zach:I KISSED HER WELL SHE KISSED ME UH

He comes to the room and stares at us for a second before jumping next to me,I move up a little bit hoping he doesn't realize its me.

Zach:It's been a while since the last guys only movie marathon

I scoot up next to Daniel and slap his arm softly.He looks down at me and mouthes 'sorry'

Lia:I dont think he's realized that Aileen and I are here

Daniel:Wait for him to fall asleep and then we can runaway

I slap his arm again but quietly smile at him.I open my mouth to whisper something but Corbyn kicked his leg straight at me in my stomach.A groan escaped me which caused Jonah to pause the movie and put his flashlight on my face.I see Zach sit up straight, his hard stare softening at the sight of me.

Zach:What happened?

I opened my mouth but no words came out.

Daniel:She came through the back door and was telling me something

Zach:O-kay,why did she groan in pain?

Daniel:Uhh

Zach:I swear to God Daniel,was it you?

Corbyn:Shut up Zach,it was me,I kicked her, not Daniel,they were whispering too loudly

Lia:Yeah,I better get going

Daniel:No,no stay with us

Lia:Uhh sure?

We all sat down again, Zach was fidgeting and not paying attention.I soon decide to go to the kitchen and take Daniel with me.Once we're in the safety of the kitchen I start whisper yelling at him.

Lia:There were many ways that could've been avoided

Daniel:I know

Lia:I'm staying here but I'm going to go sleep

Daniel:Me too

We both walk out of the kitchen,I see Daniel go straight for the stairs while I go to the couch.I put the pillows down so I would be comfortable and putter blanket Daniel was using on top.I pick up my phone from where it was laying and put it on the side.

Daniel:What are you doing?

Lia:Going to sleep?

Daniel:No you're not, not here anyway

He took ahold of my arm,taking me upstairs to his room.

Lia:Ohh,thanks for getting me away from the noised you have an extra pillow and blanket?

Daniel:Yeah

He left the room for two minutes, returning with a matching pillow and blanket, covered in cookies.

Lia:Thanks

I throw the pillow on the cold floor and cover myself with the blanketDaniel gave me before laying down.

Daniel:What are you doing?

Lia:Uhh sleeping?

Daniel:Take my bed

Lia:No,its fine really

I turn on my heel and walk downstairs,out of the house and straight on to the street, following the path to my house.

Girl:Oh my gawd Amelie Rose LaBrant

2 points for middle name and last name,-40 for first name.

Lia:Hi,my name is Amelia Rose LaBrant

I walk off, not giving her another second.

~Zach's pov~

I watch Lia go out the front door.Not sparing a single second to say goodbye I get up from where I was sitting, throw an excuse at everyone and leave the house just as Daniel came downstairs, his shirt all crumpled up, his shoes half on and his hair a mess.He ran towards the door, mumbling no to himself repeatedly.

He ran towards where I thought I saw Lia.I searched all the faces passing by, sighing when I realize Lia wasn't amongst them.

Girl:Amelie Rose LaBrant

I correct her in my head before running towards where her shriek could be heard.

Zach:Where is Amelie Lily LaBrant?

Girl:Sack Hirron?

No,sorry who's that?

Zach:Yeah,where is she?

I followed the direction her finger pointed.When I saw a familiar blonde headed girl I relaxed and jogged up to her.

Zach:Hey Lia

Lia:Hi Zach

I could tell she didn't want to talk to me because she sped up.I didn't follow her, instead I watched her from where I was standing.I stare-glare-at the rock next to my feet,kicking it as hard as I could.

Zach:Argh!

I look up to see Lia completely out of sight.I jump in my spot and dashed towards where I thought she's gone.I hear a scream,m not far from where I could swear I saw her not a second ago.I let my senses lead me towards the scream.I waited for another one but when it didn't come I checked every alleyway, angry at myself for not finding where the scream came from.I look up, taking a step back when I see a man holding a gun but jump to push him when I see a girl struggling under his grip.She screams again, kicking and squirming.He shoves me into the wall,I close my eyes and bear the pain, letting him punch me in the stomach before punching his nose and kicking him.

Lia:Daniel!

So it was Lia

Almost instantly Daniel is next to me, punching the guy.When the guy finally fell on the floor,givinng up Daniel looked at his with disgust.

Daniel:Go tell your mama you got purple and blue for disrespecting a girl

I shrugged,deciding to go home the long way ,half heartedly taking selfies and signing stuff.

Boy:Can I have an autograph?

Zach:First tell me, when is my birthday?

Boy:Look man I don't know all that, my sister loves you, let me call her if you don't believe me

Zach:Yeah,go on call her

I sigh, staring at his new iPhone X,he probably got it from selling autographs.I pick up the phone from his hand and put it to my ear.

Zach:Hi,whats your name?

Girl:Leah

Zach:I'm Zach Herron

I pull the phone away from my ears and wait for her screaming to stop.

Leah:Wait,why do you have my brothers phone?

Zach:Well thats a story for your brother to tell you

She has a quick conversation with me, telling me how 'amazing' I am
