Chapter 41

~Lia's pov~

I laughed at everything,I laughed when Corbyn danced,I laughed when Aileen woke up,I laughed when Jack and Daniel argued about watermelons.But I didn't laugh when Zach walked in, lips joined with Alicia's,making me sick to the stomach.

I stared into space, thinking about what Zach had said to me the night before.Does he really mean it?My mind stopped thinking about that when Jonah asked what size popcorn to get.

Lia:Jumbo of course

Jonah:Kay thanks

Lia:No worries...who even say that anymore Amelia?you obviously.ANYWAY Jonah I have something to ask you...Do you Jonah Marais Ross Frantzich like Aileen?

Jonah:Um...

Lia:OH MY GOD ROSSY BOY HERE HAS A CRUSH,ROSSY BOY IS IN LOVE,ROSS AND PRINCESS SITTING IN A TREE K-I-S-S-I-N-G FIRST-

Jonah covers my mouth with his hand, muffling my voice.I slowly lick his hand,waiting for him to let go.Once he realized what I had done he groaned in disgust and wiped his hands all over me.I look up, noticing Zach staring at me, looking at me.

Lia:AWW LOVER BOY IS EMBARRASSED

Aileen:Who is this 'princess' anyway?

I shrug my shoulders,laughing at the annoyed expression creeping up on her face.Soon everyone was deep within their own conversations, the room buzzing with voices.

Lia:Hi Zach

He looked around the room, looking for someone.When his eyes landed on me he quickly looked away.He hear me...right?

I looked away,distracting myself with Aileen and Jonah.I waved a little, waiting for Jonah to notice.When he did I made a little gesture,signalling for him to tell her.Soon there was a scream and a slap,I slowly move my eyes towards Jonah to see that he was slapped on the leg and Aileen was still screaming.

~Aileen's pov~

I stare at my feet,already knowing how much I hate Rossy boys princess.I wanted to scream or cry but instead I just watched Lia tease Jonah about it.

Lia:OH MY GOD ROSSY BOY HERE HAS A CRUSH,ROSSY BOY IS IN LOVE,ROSS AND PRINCESS SITTING IN A TREE K-I-S-S-I-N-G FIRST-

I raise my eyebrows at Lias childish behavior .Only getting a shrug back before I tuned to Jonah and started conversing with him.

Jonah:So I uh borrowed some candy from you last night

Aileen:You what?

My instinct was to slap him across the leg and I did exactly that.He swallowed his spit, his Adams apple bobbing up and down.

Jonah:So uh to make it up to you I thought maybe I could get you some candy and then watch a movie with you

I let out a scream of delight, crushing Jonah in between my arms,pinching his pink cheeks.

Aileen:Wait,tonight?

Jonah:Err yeah

Aileen:Oh my god.

~Lia's pov~

I watch as everyone disappeared from the room,Jonah running after Aileen,Corbyn going upstairs to talk to Christina ,Jack going outside with Daniel to skateboard,Alicia following Daniel like a lost puppy.Leaving Zach and I alone.I take a deep breath,gethering up the courage to talk.

Lia:Zach?

I watch him,waiting for his reply, when I didn't receive one I called out to him again.He barely acknowledged me.I tried one more time, my heart breaking.

Lia:Z-zach?

My voice cracked, making a pathway for my emotions to escape.He got up and walked towards the back door.

Lia:I heard all of it Zach,all of it

~Zach's pov~

At her last sentence I paused.I took a deep breath, she couldn't have.She couldn't possibly have heard me.Oh shoot, no.I walk out, leaving her there to cry.

After her short fit of giggles she looked at me expectantly.

Zach:What?

The smile on her face got me laughing too.

Lia:it's your turn

Zach:What's your biggest fear?

Lia:Watching someone I love walk out

~Aileen's pov~

I run back into the house,searching for Lia.The sound of a sniff guided my eyes to Lia who was curled up in a ball in front of the couch.

Aileen:Shit,what happened to you?

She stood up slowly and hugged me, shaking a little when I knocked her on the top of her head.

Aileen:Oh whats that there?A brain.Yeah you should use it sometime, maybe to come to the conclusion that you don't need Zach and that he is a dick

She laughed a little again but didn't agree.

Lia:Let's get you ready for your date

Aileen:Woah,woah,woah who said it was a date?

Lia:I did

I dragged her out of the house,waving goodbye to Jack,Daniel and Jonah.

Daniel:Call an über Melia!

Lia:I am!

The über ride wasn't awkward as we had a female driver.

Lia:You're Alex,I'm pretty sure I've seen you somewhere Alex

Alex:IKEA?

Lia:Oh yeah! I remember by the way I love your hair

Alex:Oh um thanks I guess

I thanked her when I reached the front of our house, getting out we walk into the house.

Aileen:WHAT AM I GOING TO WEAR?

Lia:LETS GO SHOPPING

Aileen:Ill call an Uber

We walk out not a second later, smiling brightly at Alex.

We walked into the mall,ready to shop.

Lia:Something casual but cute.

That day we walked into several stores, tried on several dresses

Aileen:I don't know Lia I think a top and some jeans would do just fine

Lia:Yeah,I agree ,lets go home

I smiled at the onlookers politely, waving at some Roses.We laughed,arm in arm at a vine that was stupid.

Aileen:I swear to god I can't keep a conversation going,I have to change the topic every 10 seconds

Lia:That's why you find it easy to talk about vines,they're all six seconds long.

We have a good laugh again when I call an Uber.The now awkward drive was a little too long.When we reached home again I opened Aileen's closet doors and searched through ,taking out some cute black ripped jeans and a plain black cropped shirt with a small patterned pocket.

Cute.

She put on some vans while I ran my fingers through her hair, fixing it into a high ponytail for her.I didn't do much makeup for her, just mascara.I screamed in delight at the sound of the doorbell.
