Just To See You Smile

Chapter 5

My blurry vision let me down as I couldn't see who was hugging me gently.I heard some voices but couldn't hear the words they were saying.I heard some more noise before everything went silent.I keep my eyes closed as the person rocked me back and forth slowly.I hold my breath as I feel his fanning my neck.I listened to his calming whispers.Making myself believe them.

"Shh it's okay your safe"

I am safe.He kept cooing in my ear until my eyes were dry and my breathing was calm.

"Breath in and...out"

I listened to his deep voice, which was surprisingly soothing.I let my mind wander off, thinking about everything.My family.

Lia:I miss Clay and Cole a-and Lily and Tate and a-and Jack and Luke

I started crying again.The tears falling down my already teared stained face.He pulled me closer into his chest as I inhaled his scent.He smelled like cologne and deodorant with a hint of cinnamon.

"Shh it's okay I'll take you back to Clay,Cole,Lily,Tate,Jack and Luke"

The person whispered again hugging my body lightly as if I was the most fragile thing in the world.

Lia:Are are you sure?

I whisper still shaking a little.

"Yeah"

That one word gave me reassurance that I hadn't gotten in the few years.I felt him pick me up and put me down somewhere,I quickly inhaled as much of his scent as I could.I opened my eyes a little, smiling at him, his eyes a beautiful shade of brown and brown hair.Just as I'm about to be welcomed to sleep I hear voices.

"Should we wake her up?"

"No dude"

I turned over and opened my eyes, smiling at them.

Lia:Guys it's fine,I was awake

Zach:Well then I'm Zach and this is Daniel,Jonah,Jack and I'm guessing that you already know who Corbyn is

Zach introduced them all to me as I smiled and nodded every once in a while.After they all started talking I realized how tired I got from the panic attack but I was really curious

Lia:Who uh hugged me?

Zach gave me a sheepish smile before lifting his hand up a little.

Zach:It was me

I gave him a small smile as his cheeks reddened.

Lia:Are you actually going to let me go meet Cole,Clay,Lily,Tate,Jack and Luke?

I was overwhelmed and really excited, hoping for the answer I wanted.A few yeahs and sures were thrown around the room.

Lia:REALLY!

I let out a little squeal.

Jack:what was that?

He let out a little chuckle as I mumbled a sorry.

Lia:Hey um guys?is it okay if I shower here?

Zach:Of course

Lia:Do you have blonde hair dye?

Corbyn:We do...well I do but I don't know how to use it so I just go to the hair salon place so uh you can use it

I somehow took a shower, shampooing my hair with a shampoo I found before conditioning it which is hard with a broken arm.I didn't dye my hair but for some reason it was light brown.I examined the bottle of shampoo, it was dye removing shampoo,great.I shampooed my hair until I could see it's natural blonde color.I blow dried my hair with a hair dryer I found after putting on the same clothes I was wearing before.

Lia:Thanks for letting me shower, sorry for taking so long.Also Corbyn I didn't use the dye.Also I used your dye removing shampoo thing.Sorry.

We all got into the car with an extra seat.Daniel being the nice one started a conversation withe me.He asked me some general questions before asking about who I was talking about earlier.Can I trust them?Of course I can.Shut up.Okay.Deep breath.

I told them about how my 'Auntie' isn't really my auntie, three times so when they didnt understand I got a little frustrated and started from the start.

Lia:This is going to be long so I'm only gonna say it once,My real name is Amelia Rose LaBrant.My 'Auntie' changed my name to Millie Rose Dawson after she unexpectedly moved away with me.She told no one about it and would threaten me if I told the police or contacted someone.She let me keep my phone.The one that broke earlier today.The police was searching for me and my family were looking for me.She dyed my hair brown and made me wear contacts, thats why she took so long to come to the hospital, cause she needed the fake files and stuff.I'm Amelia Rose from vine if you haven't already realized.I wasn't allowed to go out alone.She told me that I would 'get hurt' if I ever ran away or didn't obey her.So when this guy called Theo came along I had to date him cause his dad was rich.But I still had to work and she took all the money I got.It's been two years since I've been trying to escape her.

Daniel:Couldn't you just leave?

Lia:It's complicated Daniel but no

They changed the subject, making me put on a blindfold.

Corbyn:Zach,give her a piggyback ride

Zach:Okay

Zach easily carried me into an air-conditioned area, stopping somewhere.

Zach:Do you want to go on the elevator?

Lia:No

Zach:Great

He happily took the stairs and talked to me.I just nodded a little, preoccupied with smelling him.
