Just To See You Smile

Chapter 9

~Zach's pov~

The boys walked-tiptoed-behind me it was the classic scene where the people tip toes and the person in the front turns around and shushes everyone, thats exactly what I did.I held on to the airhorn a little harder, scared that I would drop it.I push the door open, just wide enough for us to go in.Lia was sprawled out on the bed, her head hanging off.We make our way over to her, the boys standing close to the door so they can run away,Daniel was recording Lia so that he can annoy her later.As soon as I pressed down I regretted it.

~Lia's pov~

I was just sleeping like I do when i'm scared, with my body spread out, my head up making my neck vulnerable to a knife.It's like I'm being pinned down by everything negative in my life.I was having a nightmare, my three best friends,seconds away from dying.I remember crying and screaming, not sure whether it was in my dream.A noise brought me back into reality as I jump in fright.I screamed, scared about what was going on.I let out a gasp as I crash on to the floor, arm first.I let out a few tears, trying not to focus on the pain.Zach dropped something, running the short distance between us and picking me up.

Lia:Zach,I'm fine

Zach:No you're not

Lia:I can walk you know?

Zach insisted on getting my arm checked by the doctor just in case.The stubbornness of the boys showed a lot when I tried to get them to stay home, instead everyone got in the car letting me sit shotgun because I was 'severely injured'.When we reached the hospital we told them we were going to get a quick check up.The doctor asked me why I was here so quickly, explaining that people usually come after a week or two so we told him what had happened earlier that morning.He told me that I would be needing the cast for a few more days than I was last informed about.

I changed out of the sweatpants and hoodie and into an outfit Corbyn got for me from my house.I kept the sweats and hoodie into the bag that my clothes came in and made my way out, Zach told me that they had checked me out and we were going to my house.

Once we reached home I told mum that I was going to have the cast for a few more days than was expected.I didn't tell her why but when I was in the kitchen,sipping on a cup of water I could hear the boys explaining what happened to my mum.

Mum:Who did it? (WHO DUNNIT😂)

From where I was standing I had a clear view of Zach who slowly lifted his hand up and gave my mum a sheepish smile.He looked really nervous and his face was going a little red.

Zach:It was me

"But who was it that blasted the air horn?"My mum asked suspiciously.
