Animals were made to be eaten/used by us

Why would god create sentient beings for humans to eat? These animals can feel pain just like us, they have a nervous system that makes them capable of that. Why would god put his creations through so much pain and suffering? Does he not love all his creations? Plants were created without a nervous system, they are incapable of feeling pain, eating them causes no harm. God cares about all his creations, not one is less loved then the other. Yet everyday upwards of 80 billion animals are killed to be served on your plate. These animals are not much different then the animals you do love, dogs, cats horses etc. in the sense that they can feel pain, they have families, they respond to stimuli. If ANIMALS were put on earth for us to eat why don't you eat dogs? Cats? Elephants? Bugs? Rhinos? Dolphins? Ohhh right...

You separate the animals in your mind because cognitive dissonance. You think killing a dog is wrong but killing a pig is okay because: food, protein, pigs are not cute, pigs are dumb, circle of life, plants feel pain too, vegans get deficiencies, we've eaten meat forever etc. but all these excuses you make to separate them are flawed... as I've discussed in other chapters/videos. Separating the different species of animals for untrue reasoning is speciesism; And it's clear your reasoning for doing so is social conditioning.

The garden of Eden was all plants for consumption, no where was there chopped up caucuses of animals to eat. And nor did Adam and Eve think to kill a sentient being for food when there was an abundance of edible plants around them. The Bible only began mentioning the consumption of animals after original sin.

A common scenario brought up among vegans when talking about religion is...

Some people may point out this isn't a realistic situation this will never happen... but everyday you have the choice in wether or not you pay for an animal to be killed for you, or you eat something else.

If animals really were made for human consumption they wouldn't be causing 14 of the 15 leading causes of death. After all why would god want us to consume something that would lead to pre-mature death? Perhaps it's the work of the devil. All of these diseases can be prevented by eating a plantbased diet (of course other factors can play in but overall diet has the biggest link because epigenetics). Why would god want us to not eat the most sustainable diet possible to protect the beautiful planet he created? If you haven't seen the documentary cowspiracy I recommend giving it a watch on Netflix, this documentary shows the impact our everyday choices are having on the planet and what we can do to protect the earth from further destruction.

The biggest question though... we clearly have power over all the other species on earth (although sometimes that not be the case) why would we not use our power for the greater good? Why are we choosing to live unsustainably and destroy the planet? Why are we choosing to harm our own bodies (gods creation) because of taste? Why are we contributing to the deaths of billions upon billions of animals just because we can... when we don't have to. Use your power wisely now adays we have the knowledge of what we are contributing to in the past we didn't.
