You can do this caitlin.
She told her self for the 100,0000 time as she smoothed out the non existent creases on her summer dress.⬇
She paced on her hallway anxiously her skin suddenly feeling to tight the butterfly's in her stomach felt more like she was falling of a cliff rather then waiting for her date to pick her up.
Her hands were unbelievably sweaty and she felt like she couldn't breath she had re-checked her appearance more times then she could count.
When she herd the familiar sound of the door bell she froze.
She took a few deep breaths and opened the door when she saw barry she instantly felt better her hole body seemed to relaxe when she saw him, like it knew that everything was ok now that he was here.
His jaw dropped slightly at the sight of her she making her blush "You...I...ummm...wow you look ...I-I mean you look pretty" barry laughed nervously rubbing the back of his neck.
Caitlin smiled shyly "You look pretty to"
Caitlin and barry both laughed and then got into Barry's car he still refused to tell her where they were going.
Thry had been in the car for just under 30 minuets when barry finally pulled up she herd loud music and saw a few lights a has of her that's when it all clicked.
She turned to look at him a ridiculously huge grin on her face "a out door musical festival really!?" She asked hopefully.
"Yeah. you existed." Caitlin flung her arms around his neck nearly crushing him.
"thankyou"
"Your welcome now can we get out of the car or are you not done sufercating me?"
Caitlin pulled away mumbling a sorry before she climbed out of the car.
Barry shook his head in amusement and climbed out of the car they were greated by blearing lights laughter and music.
Without thinking barry laced the fingers together caitlin glanced at hi then at their joint hands, smiled then squeezed his hand.
Barry felt warmth rush through him at the simple gestured and couldn't help but feel this is what he wanted to feel like for the rest of his life.
They danced and sung like crazy people untill they were both tiered and hungry. Caitlin's face was flushed from the dancing and the weather and he couldn't help but smile at her in awe.
The got a can of cola each from one of the burger vans and laid on the grass away from the festival in silance.
Caitlin closed her eyes and enjoyed the warm light on her eyelids and the soft sound of barry breathing next to her and the faint sound of cheering un the distance she smiled to her self and turned over to look at barry and saw his eyes were closed to she kissed his cheek lightly untill he opened his eyes to look st her.
"I've had fun tonight" she admitted quitly.
"Yeah me to" he replied in the same tone playing with their joint hands.
Caitlin hummed in contentment "and don't want to leave"
"I don't either but I need to be home before it gets to dark"
Caitlin nodded in understanding but didn't move "5 more minutes"
When they reached caitlin's house barry walked her to her door they stood their on an awkward silence for a while looking any where but at each other.
"Sooooo..." caitlin started "you gonna kiss me"
Barry huffed then kissed her and smiled against her lips feeling something he'd never felt before.
The kiss ended naturally and their foreheads rested against each other "I'll see you tomorrow" caitlin whispered with one last soft kiss pressed to his lips.
When he got home he couldn't stop smiling his life was like a cliché and he couldn't care less.
