Barry walked into his sisters room and smiled when he herd mia laughing happily.

"Hey" barry greated and plopped down beside caitlin on the fluffy pink rug.

"Hey" Caitlin said dividing her attention between him and the braid she was putting in mia's hair when she was done she tied it of and it fell down her back.

"All done now you look like a princess" caitlin said with a soft smile.

Mia turned to barry "do I look like a pretty princess?" She questioned and barry knew there was a right anwser.

"You look beautiful and your the prettiest princess I've ever seen" he said tickling her sides making her squerm and squeel.

"No more barry! Stop it!" She yelled clearly angry and upset making him release her he eyed caitlin asking a silant question she just shrugged in response.

"You messed up my hair!" She exsclaimed pouting unhappily.

"Its ok I can fix it" caitlin said pulling the little girl onto her lap and carefully undoing the braid barry watched mesmerised by the slow movements of her fingers through mia's soft brown hair.

He watched as her fingers moved swiftly creating a 2 new braids on each side of her head that fell down her shoulders and he watched as mia hugged caitlin as a thankyou and made her promise to teach her how to do braids the next time she was over.

And he thought to himself what has to happen to someone that's so bad that it drives them to even thunk about hurting caitlin sweet, innocent, beautiful, kind caitlin he felt tears prick his eyes but he blinked them back determined not to look weak in front of the women he loved.

But caitlin saw him struggling of course and brought him in for a hug and held him tight not tight enough for it to hurt but tight enough for him to know what she was silantly telling him.

Its okay.

A few days had passed and barry was waiting for caitlin at her locker with a single red tulip in between his fingers the tulip was already bent and broken because it had been in his bag since lunch because decided to go out on his lunch break and get her it (originally there had been 6 flowers but he squashed them with his maths book) he rolled the dark green stem between his finger tips busying himself and forcing himself to take calming breaths.

Caitlin began walking from her last class of the day over to her locker ready to meet barry had had text her during 4th and 5th period move telling her to meet him there after 5th period there last class of the day.

When caitlin turned the corner she bumped into linda who scoffed at her "so you didn't take my advice I see I'm going to give you one last chance and keep in mind that I'm the in the one barry loves not you after all who could ever love you? Let me think you've only had one boyfriend your ex Jay right, and where is he now I wonder" she said with a sly smile tapping her perfect nails against her chin.

"Let's see who else might love you hmm... your parents! Oh wait your mother's not around much is she and by much I mean ever and your father well he's dead I suppose he dodge a bullet having you as a daughter would just be embarrassing I mean look at you" she snapped

Caitlin felt hot tears pool in her eyes but refused to let this bitch who thought she was better then everyone else see her cry.

"And then there's barry. My barry the barry who couldn't possibly ever love you he is way way way way way way way. To good to go out with you but bless you for thinking that though I mean hopes always a good thing to have but if I was you I'd just end my life now because no one will ever love you."

Flash back

"No one will ever love you so why do you even try! All I asked was that you called me back but you didn't. WHY!" Jay roared

"I told you my phone died I'm sorry" caitlin stuttered

"That's just an Exscuse don't you ever lie to me! I've given you everything I've taken you on dates I've been nice to your friends I let you wear my jacket and this is how you repay me!" He yelled

"I'm sor-"

SLAP!

Jays hand made contact with the side of her face leaving a burning red mark caitlin looked up at him with tears in her eyes gathered her things walked out and slammed the door behind her.
