"Woah, he got some nice moves," Natalie said as she walked in behind Clary, Jace and Natalie.

"Who is that guy?" Clary asked.

"That's Hodge Starkweather. Our weapons trainer- And more important for us- Former circle member," Jace explainted to Clary while Natalie and Angel were doing their own conversation.

"This institute looks cool huh," Natalie said to Angel.

"Yeah, it looks better than the one in California," Angel responded with a light chuckle before they saw Clary and Jace walk up to Hodge then they followed behind them.

"Jocelyn-" They heard Hodge say under his breath.

"I-I'm Clary and this is Natalie and Angel, -Jocelyn Fray is my Mother," Clary said.

"-And our Aunt," Angel added before she gazed at Natalie.

"Wow- she was Jocelyn Fairchild when I knew her- and she was one of my best friends-" He stated before Clary's eyes widened along with Natalie and Angel.

"She's been kidnapped- by someone named Valentine and his men-" Clary commented.

"By the circle, Hodge." Jace added.

"But that's impossible- Valentine's dead and the circle died with him-"

Before Hodge could even continue, pain started rushing through him from his neck, from the circle's rune, to be specific.

"What's happening?" Clary questioned with slight worry.

"I think it's because of his neck," Natalie said.

"Actually because of the Circle's rune on his neck, to be specific." Natalie added.

"Yeah, I swore to Val to never speak of what we did- it's just the clave's way making sure I keep that-"

"They can't torture him, Jace," Clary said as she faced Jace.

"I think they can and already did, Clary." Natalie said in a mocking tone before Clary cleared her throat,"Is there anyone else we can ask?" She said completely ignoring the fact she just got burned before Jace shook his head at her in response.

"If the circle is really back then they've taken Jocelyn- the leader- the leader of the circle is Valentine morgenste-", Hodge said as the last word wasn't clear to their ears.

"We thought he wanted to protect you- like all Shadow Hunters-" He added as Natalie and Angel zoned out for the rest of the conversation.

"How can they trust this guy?" Natalie asked, only audible to Angel.

"He's being tortured, Natalie" Angel responed as she glared at Nat.

"Okay. ." Natalie said before they saw Jace rushing to Hodge, he was currently lying on the floor, screaming in pain.

Simon started a conversation with Clary as Natalie and Angel were in their own conversation before Isabelle walked over to the weapons stand and was about to pick up a weapon until Jace came over and hit her hand,"No Izzy."
