"Everything's happened so quickly." Natalie muttered as she stared at her knees.

"Tell me about it." Izzy sighed.

"I just wish everything would go back to normal sometimes, like back when Angel and I were in California," Natalie mumbled as Izzy nodded in understanding.

Clary then came back with her phone to her ear as she was talking to her best friend.

The monitor then started to beep as Natalie walked quickly towards the monitor. "What the hell?" Natalie said as she saw a red circle outside of the perimeter of the institute.

Natalie was soon joined by Jace and the two Lightwoods as the four of them crowded around the monitor.

"There's something outside the perimeter." Jace informed as the group furrowed their eyebrows at the moniter.

"l told you-" Alec started to say but Jace cut him off.

"Don't say it." Jace muttered as he shook his head slightly.

"What's happening?" Clary asked as Natalir rolled her eyes again.

"Looks like someon's trying to break in," Natalie nformed Clary.

"Could be the circle." Jace added as the four of them turned towards the door of the institute, with Clary following them.

"Told you so," Alec stated.

"Too soon," Jace sighed as they all walked out of the institute with their seraph blades up as they walked outside, except for Alec who had his bow aimed and ready to fire and Natalie with her powers ready.

They turned a corner to where the intruder was to see two figures and one was holding something or someone.

"Don't move! Drop what you're holding, put your hands up!" Alec demanded as he stepped forward slightly in front of Natalie as the figure walked towards them and once they all had a clear view of who they were, they put their weapons down.

It was Raphael and Angel. Raphael was carrying Simon's body in his arms.

Once Natalie saw her best friend, she ran up to her and gave her a hug,"Where were you?"

"I was taking a little scroll in town then I bumped into Raphael with Simon in his arms, so I advised him to go to the institute and that I'd come with him," Angel responded making Natalie nod before Jace ran to Angel.

"Are you okay?" Jace quickly said as he cupped Angel's face and see if there's any bruises before the brunette removed his hand gently and stared at the blonde,"I'm fine." she said before walking to Izzy and Natalie and standing beside them making Jace look at the ground, updet then turned to Raphael.

"Oh my god, Simon!" Clary said as soon as she saw Raphael with Simon on his hands as tears formed in her eyes. Dhe stared down at her best friend, not moving before she took away her seraph blade and bent down on her knees, looking at her best friend now letting the tears escape.

"I am so sorry, Clary," Natalie said softly as she put her hand on Clary's shoulder.
