A FEW HOURS later Alec and Lydia returned to the institute with the corpse Natalie and Angel intently saw earlier.

Once the two brunettes got a proper look at it, they knew that it was the forsaken. Angel said she'd go train so Natalie decided to put on a lab coat and her eye protector and walk into the lab as she grabbed a pair of blue rubber gloves and put them on. She walked in to see Izzy examining the body and Magnus Bane standing next to her before he perked his head up and smiled then went and hugged her as she did so as well.

"Natalie, it's so great to see you again." Magnus said as his hands were both on Natalie's shoulder.

"You, too." Natalie responded with a warm smile.

"How's you and the whole being a 'rare' going?" He questioned with a gesture.

"It's going great! The situation is not that big of a deal, actually when I think about it." Natalie stated making Magnus nod before she took a closer look at the body then glanced at Izzy.

"Right, ok. I think you can handle this Izzy, I'll see you later." Natalie said as she put her rubber gloves in the bin and put her lab coat and eye protection back before she marched back to her room and changed into her training gear

She headed towards the training room to see Angel whacking a dummy with a stick with everything she had.

"I believe I have some training to do with you, Mrs. Goldwell." Natalie said as she walked towards Angel as she was standing there panting before facing Natalie with a breathless smile,"Ok." she said before Natalie nodded as both of them took their positions with their seraph blades.

"Let's go." Angel said.

"Let's go." Natalie repeated.

Angel was the first to charge. She slashed at Natalie's shoulder as she dodged it and slashed at Angel's foot but she moved out of the way. They kept charging until they had their seraph blades on each other's throats,"How's Jace?" Natalie asked still her's and Angel's blades on their throats.

"Not so good."

"You guys should talk."

"I don't know."

"Angel, you love him." Natalie said making Angel remove her seraph blade from Natalie's throat and look at the ground with a gulp.

"Angel." Natalie said as she looked at Angel as she was still staring at the ground.

"Nat. I don't know! Okay. He's in love with Clary. And oh my god, she's our cousin. I don't want to step in between them." Angel exclaimed as she looked at her best friend whom was looking at her with sadness in her eyes.

"You need to fight for him, Angel." Natalie said before walking away leaving Angel with the ground again.

Natalie just got off the phone with Clary, apparently she decided to let Simon turn into a Vampire, she could feel why because nobody would bare of losing their best friend.

Natalie was walking to the heart of the institute when she heard noises coming from the the training room so she panicked and quickly headed there to see Alec on the floor with Hodge and a forsaken above Alec, ready to attack.

"Hey!" Natalie shouted as she threw a spell at the thing which made it fly away from Alec and before it had a chance to turn around and charge Natalie threw a spell at him that made him vanish.

She quickly headed towards Hodge and helped him up before going to Alec. Izzy soon ran in and rushed towards her brother.

"Oh my god, Alec are you okay?" Izzy asked and Alec just simply nodded in response making Nat worried.

"How did that thing get in here?" Natalie questioned making Izzy shrug.

Natalie was standing next to Alec, who was getting his wounds patched up by his father since that forsaken left a slash on Alec's arm. She was biting her nails nervously.

"Don't squirm." Robert instructed.

"I'm not, it doesn't even hurt." Alec fired back but Natalie knew it hurt him, a lot.

Alec's phone then started to ring as he pulled it out of his pocket carefully, making sure not to hurt himself.

Natalie looked down at his phone screen to see Jace's name, Alec was about to answer it but Izzy took the phone out of his hand.

"No talking, just healing." Izzy stated as she stood up and walked out of the room witlh Alec's phone pressed against her ear.

"All done." Robert informed as he sent Natalie a smile and gave his son a pat on the back before walking out of the room.

"Are you okay?" Natalie asked as she stared at the boy who was sat uncomfortably on the bed.

"Yeah, I think but thanks. if you hadn't gotten there on time, I don't know what would have happened." Alec said as he stared at his wounded arm.

"Don't think like that, the important thing is that you're fine and not dead." she said as she softly smiled at the raven haired boy before he perked his head up at her and smiled back.

The two of them soon walked out of the infirmary and into the heart of the institute where they found Magnus doing a protection spell, apparently they didn't choose her becuase they didn't want her to get tired and just sleep the other day, they want her to go on and help them with their missions.

Natalie then walked down and sat beside Izzy who was sitting at a a table before Angel walked towards the two as for Alec, he stood behind Magnus and next to his father as they watched the other Warlock do his thing and talk while Natalie and Angel just watched Izzy work.

"Do you girls have anything else better to do other than watching me work?" Izzy questioned making Angel and Natalie glance at each other then look at Izzy and shrug their hands.

"Nope." They said in unison as they smiled making Izzy mouth an 'Okay' and let out a small laugh but it instantly stopped when the seelie walked into the institute with two guards behind him.
