"I can do this." Clary said as all of them were standing infront of the main door to the Silent brother's cavern.

"Yeah, you can." Angel reassured her.

"Of course, You're Clary." Natalie added.

"Yeah, Clary freaking Fray- You can do anything," Simon completed as Clary warmly smiled at them before Clary started walking, Simon tried following her but Jace blocked him,"Hey- hold up-" he said.

"Surprise, surprise- No Mundanes allowed- just like the training room right- Wrong. You see every horror movie ever made- the funny bestfriend who gets left behind- Dead man." Simon complained making Isabelle and Natalie chuckle.

"You're not even that funny." Natalie said as she patted Simon on the shoulder.

"Yep, not really," Jace said."But, by all means- go ahead." He added before Simon started walking towards the gate,"Of course, the minute you enter- you'll die." Jace said making Simon stop his steps and turned to look at the blondie.

"The problem is- Now I don't trust you." Simon said.

"He's not lying," Alec defended.

"Now- he was before," Izzy corrected.

"The runes energy in the City Of Bones will kill any Mundane who dares to enter- So please. ." Alec said demonstrating with his hands to let Simon continue his steps making Natalie chuckle softly.

"The brothers creep me out- I'll mind the Mundane." Isabelle said, offering to take care of Simon.

"Your sacrifice is noted, Izzy." Jace said in a sarcastic tone, walking closer to the gate.

"Talk about sacrifice- I'm not seeing any financial analysis," Simon said, looking at Clary.

"I can't be here. . anymore. So, Jace, I'll mind the perimeter with. . Natalie," Alec said in a mocking tone making Natalie confused.

"Uh- We are?" Natalie asked slightly blushing.

"Got anything better to do?" Alec questioned Natalie then shook her head hesitantly before Alec started to walk away.

"Ok. . I'll see you guys later? I guess." Natalie said, throwing her hands in confusion at Angel before following Alec.

"Why do you need me exactly?" Natalie asked Alec, not looking at her at all.

"I- I don't know really," Alec responded as he scratched the back of his neck.

"Ok -What's wrong?" Natalie asked before she blocked Alec making him stop his tracks.

"What?"

"Why are you always grumpy?" She asked, crossing her arms over her chest.

"You should ask yourself the same thing." He mocked, looking in another direction.

"Excuse me, at least I smile." Natalie mocked back before Alec glared at her,"Ok- is it because of the way Jace is looking at Angel and that you don't trust Clary and I? We're not the bad people here, Ok. I don't even know what the heck is going on. Angel and I only came to New York because we wanted to tell Clary about the downworld for her own good. But, No. . Instead We've been included in this Valentine mess." she said as she was throwing her hands in the air in frustration before letting out a sigh,"Trust me, I didn't ask for this either." She reassured him, he was just standing there, not saying anything.
