When the storm cleared, we headed back to Watto's shop. Outside the village was a mess with overturned stands and items scattered everywhere. Everyone was picking up their stands and lost items. When we reached the entrance of Watto's shop, Padmé stopped Qui Gon.

She lowered her voice for only Qui Gon and I to hear, "Are you sure about this? Trusting a boy we hardly know? The Queen wouldn't approve."

I was taken aback. I never think of not trusting him. Nothing he had ever done made me not trust him, "the Queen does not need to know," Qui Gon dismissed her worry walking away from us.

Padmé crossed her arms like the teenager she was and plopped down on a bench, "Well I don't approve," she mumbled. I raised an eyebrow at her.

"Trust in the Force, Padmé," I advised slightly looking down at her.

"It's hard to trust in something you don't understand," she countered with a huff, "I just want to save my home, I don't want the future of my people to be dependent on a nine year old boy,"

I looked away from her searching for what to say, "hey, your fate was in my hands for a while," I joked. Padmé only shook her head.

"You were also with Qui Gon who's like, sixty," she gave a half laugh, which made me smile, "and Obi Wan who's in his mid twenties. Not exactly just in your hands," she finished.

"Obi Wan is twenty five, good guess," I complimented her. I looked around my eyes scanning every stand until I found the old woman from earlier, "Hey, let's go get some more pallies. Those were pretty good earlier," I tried to distract her. I held out my hand to help her up. She smiled at me and accepted my hand.

Anakin was finally able to show us his Pod that was mostly completed. It was amazing. He told us he had been building it for a while. The Pod was small, but a nine year old like him or I didn't need a large Pod.

"Do you need help finishing it," I asked him as he sat in the Pod. He looked at me and smiled and scooted over patting the area next to him. I hoisted myself over the edge of the Pod. I returned his smile and that fluttery feeling returned again. The only difference was I wasn't scared or confused by it, I just let it happen. He asked me to connect two wires when he gave the go ahead. He continued try to place some contraption near where his feet would go. To my left I could see Qui Gon and Shmi having a conversation. Whatever they were talking about I knew I had no business knowing.

I whipped my head around when I heard laughter coming along with running footsteps. A small group of kids my age and younger came up to us. Their eyes were wide in amazement when they saw Artoo. Artoo whistled happily liking the group's attention.

One boy said, "Wow, a real Astro Droid! How'd you get so lucky?"

"That's not all," he got a slightly cocky look on his face, "I'm entered in the Boonta Race tomorrow!" I nodded in agreement letting the kids know that he was telling the truth, but I was surprised by how the kids took the news. They weren't happy for him like I thought they'd be.

"What? With this?" the same boy asked looking at Anakin's Pod. I looked at it again, sure it wasn't as nice as a cruiser, but are Pods supposed to be nice? Another kid, a Rodian, spoke in Huttinese, but I still couldn't tell what he said. I knew it wasn't good though since his tone sounded like he was mocking Anakin.

"You've been working this thing for years," a girl added.

"It's never gonna run," a younger girl added to the fire.
