"Pete?" Andy asked as I crawled back to all of them, completely shaken to the bone. "Hey, Pete. Answer me, please."

"Pete?" Joe asked.

"Why isn't he talking?" Elisa asked.

"Pete!" Andy whisper-shouted.

"W-What?" I stuttered.

"Pete, what's wrong. What did you see?" Joe asked.

"I-I can't even describe it. Just, I- We've got to save her. We have to. They were doing terrible, horrible things to her," I said.

"Well, what's the plan guys?" Elisa asked.

"Pete, did you see how many people were in the room?" Andy asked.

"I-I'm not sure, but I think it was at least five more people other than Meagan," I replied.

"And there's only four of us... And I bet that Courtney has some of her more powerful people in that room too. This is going to be challenging," Joe said.

"I can;t just leave her in there! I'm fucking going in there. They can kill me instead. Better me than her. She deserves to live, I don't. She hasn't fucked up as much as I have, she hasn't ruined as many friendships as I have, and she sure hasn't been an outcast in society, an emo freak, or tried to kill herself," I explained, getting up and starting to cry. "She deserves to live."

"Pete, don't you dare," Elisa said as she grabbed my arm, quite hard too, and pulled me back down. "Pete, you don't deserve to die. And honestly, who the hell cares about what happened in your past? What happened in the past stays in the past, ok? No one here with you right now cares about any of that. Pete, we love you for you and we wouldn't change a thing about you. Meagan loves you and cares about you so, so much. She'd be absolutely crushed if you died, especially if you died because of her. She's one of my best friends too and I know her, Pete. I know you do too, but there are some things you'll never know. She loves you more than she can ever tell you. The days she calls me, she talks about you all the time. She appreciates everything you do for her, everything you have done, and everything you will do. Pete, she loves you with all of her heart, and then some, and she literally sounds like a teenage girl when she talks to me about you, ok? It's actually kind of cute and funny, but never mind. What I'm trying to say is that she wants to spend the rest of her life with you, Pete, and nothing is going to stop her. You cannot leave her, not like this."

"Whoa," Andy and Joe both said.

"I-Is all that true?" I asked, completely stunned.

"Yes, Pete. Every single word," Elisa said as she looked me dead in the eye.

"Pete, she's right. You can't just leave her. She wouldn't be able to live with herself. I know you love her and you'd take a bullet for her, but I honesty don't think she'd be able to go on knowing that you're gone. We already lost Marie," Joe explained, starting to tear up. "And that's going to be hard enough for her, as it is for any of us. We've got to come up with a plan. You can't just risk your life. We all know you're strong, but Pete, you cannot handle five guys by yourself, especially if they're stronger than the others we've run into."

"Joe and Elisa are right, Pete. Lets just sit here quietly or go in a different room and figure out a plan. Maybe if we're lucky, we'll find more weapons instead of just one knife," Andy said.

"Ok," I sighed as we all got up.

We all walked quietly and slowly, looking back more than a few times to make sure no one was watching us or anything. We walked all the way back down the hall we originally walked to get to the room, then went into the first room on the left. It was one I looked into as we walked off the stairs. It looked the same as the other parts of the building, just older. We ran into the farthest corner away from the door. There were old bed frames stacked up. We all squeezed our way in and hid behind them as we started to discuss what we were going to do.

Andy was the first to speak up. He suggested two of us, the two stronger ones, go barging into the room and start attacking with whatever we could get our hands on, then the other two would run in about a minute later and help them. We'd get the three stronger people holding back the five guards, while someone else tried to save Meagan. It wasn't a bad idea, but I wanted to hear everyone else's plan first.

Joe was the next to suggest a plan. He said that we should all barge in there at once, that way they guards will be surprised and before they have a reaction time, we'd already be over there beating the absolute shit out of them. It could work, but there's got to be a simpler way... Who am I kidding? My girlfriend is fifty feet away and it being tortured to death, most likely. There's no simple way about this. At all. The only person I'm fooling is myself, honestly.

The four of us talked for at least twenty more minutes. We decided to somewhat combine Andy and Joe's ideas into one plan; we'd all barge inside the room, but with Elisa being last. She'd try her best to help Meagan out, while us three guys tried to beat the shit out of/hold off the guys. It wasn't the best plan, I'll admit that, but it's all we could really manage/think of at the moment.

After we agreed on that, we got out from behind the bed frames and scoured the other rooms of this level and tried to find other things we could use as weapons. All we managed to find was a few pipes. All we could really do was hit the people over the head, but I guess that'd have to do. Out of those few pipes we found, one had a sharp end. Joe smirked and took that one, which made us chuckle. When it came to Joe's friends, he'd do just about anything to protect them, and that basically means what I did to those assholes who did those horrible things to Patrick.

Once we all walked out of the last room with Andy, Joe, and Elisa having a pipe in hand, along with me having the knife I grabbed, we made our way to the room Meagan was in. I was terrified, I'll admit that. I was trying my hardest not to show it though. I had to be brave this time.

"You guys ready?" Joe asked.

We nodded in response. But then my instincts took over and I completely forgot about Joe, Andy, Elisa, and the plan. I did what I was going to do earlier... I got up and walked through the doorway into Meagan's room, leaving everyone else behind me...
