Not Romeo and Juliet

chapter 5 : Fear

"did you pick a dress?" Lizzy shouted from the bathroom.

She came out, looking as gorgeous as ever. "I am so excited for this. It's gonna be our first celebration as a whole team. You saved us after all."

I blushed at that. "come on it wasn't that big of a deal." She rolled her eyes. "yes. It was Julz. It was the first time that I saw Ash that grateful of someone."

Wow. Okay. That actually felt nice.

Lizzy did my hair and make up. The dress I wore was tight, strapless and black and clung nicely at my curves.

In the week that I spent here, I understood that Lizzy and Jason were already engaged. They hadn't decide on the wedding date though. It didn't make much of a difference anyway. They were already living together.

The other important detail I learned was that Ash is single. You see how important that is?!?!?!?!

When we got ready, we went down to meet the boys. And go to the party. They said that this was going to be one of biggest parties in the city so I thought why the hell not?

When we were coming down I noticed that Jase was looking at Lizzy like a little, hungry puppy who finally found food. You know the interesting part? Meanwhile I also noticed Ash checking me out. Which, made me blush. ( I know, I know, how girly of me. Well, I am one.)

Jase couldn't restrain himself so he kissed Lizzy right there but Ash came forward and kissed my knuckles. "you look beautiful."

"tonight?"

"always." He said with a cute, boyish smile.

Does this guy know the affect he has on me? Or any other girl in particular??

When we got to the party, I saw that the house was huge. Not as huge as the castle I called home now but still huge. Before we get into the house, Ash pulled me aside and said "don't leave my side tonight. I don't want anything to happen to you. 20 bucks says you're going to attract way too much attention." I nodded, he took my hand and we followed Jase and Lizzy inside.

The music was so loud we were screaming into each other's ears just to talk. Ash and I went to get drinks ( I don't drink alcohol, at all.) and Ash took a cola as well but those two asked for some wine.

"well, well, well. If it isn't Ash Madok." Ash near me became still. "what did you do that made you celebrate and wow look at your one night stand." We both turned to come face to face with a very handsome and also a very hot man who looked about 25 as well. Ash smiled a forced smile. "actually we came here to celebrate our new teammate's first mission Nathan."

"then you wouldn't mind me having some fun with this chick, would ya? You should go to her after all."

I smiled the bitchiest smile I could manage while bringing down my killer heels to say hello to his foot. "I am Juliet. The new teammate, douchebag." He had the nerve to look shocked through the pain. Then "I see that you have found the bitchiest girl in town for your crew."

I leaned forward. "say all you want about me. It won't change the truth. The truth that you are a poor excuse to be an asshole cause at least they serve a point." With that I walked away to the place Lizzy and Jase stood.

When they saw my anger and Ash's amusement ( guy has a nerve.) they instantly asked what happened. I left him to explain and went to balcony to get fresh air. It's been a really busy night and being a bitch tired me.

After 5 minutes I left the balcony to go back to them. That's when I heard the crying and the screams for help. But music didn't let other people hear it too.

I followed the voice to one of the rooms. Opened the door and saw one giant of a guy raping a girl. She was crying, screaming and protesting but he shut her up by kissing her harshly, and ripped her shirt off.

I was standing there with shock written on my face when I came to my senses. And attacked. I picked the closest thing I could find (which turned out to be a lamp) and hit it to the vulnerable spot where his neck and shoulder was attached. ( we doctors can hurt the best.) but that giant threw that aside and also threw me with it which caused my head to bump into a wall, hard.

He walked to me and pulled my hair up viciously so I was looking him in the eye. "who do you think you are, little bitch? Interfering in someone else's business." His fist flew to my face.

I closed my eyes. Waiting for a blow that never came.

I opened my eyes and saw the only thing that dared to come.

Ash. He was standing between us. Fury clear in hid face. I never saw him that angry. He punched the giant and with the third punch, the ass was running for the hills.

He turned to me, checked me to see if I had any injuries. Then he hugged me. I buried my face in his chest, breathing him in while shaking. But someone needed warmth more than I did.

I pulled away to go to the girl, dropped my leather jacket over her shoulders. I hugged her close to me. The only comfort that I could offer in that moment.

I guess it was enough because she hugged me back, and started to cry.
