Chapter 11 : Not so bad



Ash's POV

Last week was a dark week.

You'd actually think after I'd poured out my heart to Juliet,( which doesn't happen often.) telling her how I love her, would be enough for her to forgive me. To come back home.

But Nooooo, it took us a week of chocolate, pizza and books for her to forgive us. Now that I'm thinking, she probably ju st used us to get new books. And don't forget the damn ed. Freaking. Chocolate. That girl is an addict.

Even though she agreed to continue working with us after my apology, she didn't talk to me a lot. She just talked to Will. To Will!!!

I got jealous about that. ( and she pinched my cheek when I told her about this!)

It took Rose some time to forgive Lizzy too. And after two days they were sisters again.

As for me, today I'm taking her on a date. First dinner then to movies.

What can possibly go wrong?

Juliet's POV

"sorry sir. the restaurant's closed." The man says.

"What?" Ash exclaims.

"they closed it for some management issue. Our apologies."

Ash looks at me helplessly.

I shrug, cracking a smile. "I'm more than happy to grab a chocolate bar for dinner."

He smiles, taking my hand. "thank you."

And so we go to the movies. We choose the movie 'guardians of the galaxy vol.2' (mostly because of the cute groot.) we buy popcorns, drinks and other junk food and sit in our chairs.

We were halfway through the movie when a dark thing lands on our popcorn. Ash and I share a look. Then I take out my phone to use it's flashlight and see what it is.

It takes us a moment to realize what it is and after we do, we scream. So loud that I can only hear a scream and a high-pitched scream.

And the high-pitched scream? It wasn't me.

It was Ash. O_o

And the reason we were screaming? A freaking spider had landed on our popcorn from nowhere. And me, being the girl I am, I hit the popcorn box so it would get away from me as far as possible.

Problem is that sadly, spider flies away with them.

And lands right on top of Ash's head.

"get it off me. GET IT OFF MEEEEE!!!!" Ash yells, coming to me so I'd help him but I jump away from him, screaming "stay AWAY FROM ME!"

And so we get to problem number 2 (with my heart and brain laughing their ass of in behind the scenes) : after all our screaming, apparently some people though that Ash was using the darkness of the cinema and giving me trouble.

That sort of trouble.

And so they attack him. Thankfully when one of them punches him ,Ash dodges and the guys fist hits the spider instead. And the guy also screams because spider probably bit him in the process. (I still search for a new spiderman in the news.)

As soon as that happens, Ash grabs my hand and we run out of the place and get into the car and drive as far away as we can.

Ash was silent our whole drive. Maybe he was angry at me for leaving him with that bloodthirsty spider. (no, Will herondale. It wasn't a duck and yes, it was still bloodthirsty.)

When we reach home, I silently open the door to get out of the car but he grabs my wrist and stops me.

"I'm sorry Rose. I ruined our date and it's okay if you don't want to go out again, I'll totally understand but I wanted to ask it anyway. Will you be my girlfriend?"
