I hate kids. I always have hated kids. When I was in kinder garden I remember planning things that could kill our whole class. Including me.

Talk about weird.

Strangely, with Angel, it's nothing like that. I used to think that children were included in 'animals you don't eat.' Category. But Angel is the face of innocence. She eats all her food when Lizzy feeds her, pulls at Jase's hair happily as he gives a piggy ride in the house. Which takes about 2 hours per day. ( told ya it was a big house.) she laughs sometimes when Ash plays with her. And she listens to me as I tell her about the tiny organs in her body and what they do and she looks at the books with her big, blue eyes and the drawings of princes and princesses as I read to her.

It took her about a month to get used to us. One night, I came home late from the academy and she was lying in a sleeping Ash's lap, looking at the sleeping beauty's picture and back at him. But as I closed the door behind me, she looked up at me and she slimed. I took her from Ash's arms and after hugging her and playing with her for a while, I lay down next to Ash, my back against his muscly chest and the little Angel against mine. We slept like that the whole night.

I fell in love with that golden haired little girl ever since.

And that is why we are having this fight right now.

"we aren't leaving her forever, Juliet. We are leaving her for a weak and she will be with a babysitter the whole time!" Lizzy says with frustration.

"it's still leaving her alone."

"no, it's not. We are leaving for a vacation and you are coming too."

"I so am not!"

"do it for Ash, Juliet if not for yourself. He needs the rest to move on from the death of his mother and the fact that he was kidnapped by his own father. When you were kidnapped he lost it and went all Joker on our hostage." Jase says. "and you know he won't leave without you." Lizzy adds.

"oh fine." I say with a deep sigh.

Ash bough our plane tickets and said he got our hotel covered. I nagged our whole way to the hotel but I felt my jaw drop as I saw it for the first time.

Our hotel was gorgeous, it was more of a villa. And it was surrounded with trees. We had it all to ourselves. A full fridge, a nice kitchen, it was a perfect house to run away from life for a while.

"it's not actually a hotel. My father left me this and another house back at the Ney york. That one's bigger but this one is my favorite." Ash says, looking down at me with a smile playing on his lips. "we didn't tell you because we knew you would use that as a protest to stay at him with Angel."

"thank you for bringing me here Ash." I go on my tiptoes and kiss him softly. "it's so beautiful."

"why don't you guys go to the market and buy some stuff so we can eat while watching movies? Juliet and I will make the dinner while you're gone." Lizzy says to Ash and Jason.

"we can even catch some cats like we used to when we were kids." Jase says, smiling at Ash.

Ash snorts. "oh please, I was the one catching the cats and you were the one running clueless after them." Their voices drift off as they disappear from our sight.

"Juliet!"

"coming." I yell as I step into the kitchen. She started making the chicken as I worked on the salad and the dessert. "Juliet?" passing the salt now, Lizzy." She asked me for that so many times I was getting sick of it.
