If Lauren had known that her whole world would come crashing down in that room, she never would've opened the door. Harry Potter had one hour to deliver himself to Voldemort, or everyone would die. An hour is a long time, but it goes by fast when everyone you love is already dead.

Lauren took a deep breath, and walked into the Great Hall. She looked around, desperately hoping to find a familiar face. She spotted a red-headed family crowded over a body on the ground. No, she thought. They all have to be okay. But they weren't.

  Fred.

Fred was dead. Lauren looked away, fighting off the tears. It didn't help that the next body her eyes landed on was Tonks.

Tonks.

And next to her.......No. It couldn't be. What about Teddy? This was too much.

  Remus.

Lauren turned away, finding it impossible to breath. Remus. Remus was the only father she had left. And he was gone.  She bit her lip, barely able to see, and walked towards the door. She needed to be alone. She couldn't handle seeing anyone else she cared about lying lifelessly on the ground. But the world was cruel, and it wasn't done with her yet. Lauren stared at the floor, her breaths coming in gasps, when her eye caught something green. Lifeless emerald eyes were staring blankly at her.

Marian.

No. NO! Hadn't the world taken enough already? It took her mother, her dad, Remus, Tonks, Mad-eye, Dumbledore, Fred, Dobby, and now Marian. Lauren put a hand over her mouth to hide her sob as she turned away from her best friend. She turned away, to see one more body. One more, that would rip out the ragged remains of her heart and stomp them into the ground. One person that would break the small part of Lauren that was still strong enough to move forward.

Colin.

It was Colin. He lay dead on the ground, his face never to smile again, his hands never to snap another picture. Lauren couldn't take it anymore. Colin was just too far, too much for her to take. She collapsed on the ground next to him and let the tears fall.

"Wake up!" she cried. "Please. Please Colin. Please wake up. Please...Don't leave me." It was not use. He was gone. Regardless, Lauren grabbed his hand and held on for dear life, crying harder than she had in her entire life. She sobbed over him, over the boy she loved, the boy that was gone forever. Others were angry when it came to grief, but Lauren didn't have anything left in her for emotions. All she could do, was cry.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione entered the Great Hall. They looked around, searching for those still alive. Harry was the first to spot her.

"Lauren?" he called softly to the girl sitting on the floor, clutching the cold hand of someone who was long gone. She looked up at him slowly, her eyes nothing but dark pools of despair.

"They're all gone." she said, her voice wavering. "They're all just......gone."

"Who's gone?" Hermione asked. "Lauren, who-" she stopped when she recognized the body next to Lauren.

"Remus." Lauren began, her voice strained and high with pain and grief. "Tonks. Lavender. Marian." Tears began streaming down her face. "Fred. Colin." she fell apart again.

"Fred?" Ron said in shock. He wandered away towards his family.

"Remus and Tonks." Harry repeated. He glanced around and left. He couldn't stay in a room where everyone was dead because of him. Tears filled Hermione's eyes as she knelt down next to the girl and held her. Lauren was too young for this. Far too young to lose everyone. Lauren sobbed into Hermione's shoulder, but no amount of crying could express the pain she felt in her soul. Everyone was gone. Now she had no one. Deep, deep down inside she knew it wasn't true. She knew that she still had Harry, and Hermione, and Ron, and the rest of the Weasleys. She knew in there that she still had plenty of people, but what she knew deep down wasn't going to be registered anywhere else. As far as Lauren was concerned, she was alone.
