It's been a year since I met you,
A few days under since I fell for you hard,
Days away from that night last year,
The last night of our spring break.
A year has gone by,
And you're still on my mind.
You come and go from my mind,
No matter how I try to forget.
A year has gone by from the heart stopping glances,
The wishing that you felt the same.
A year full of us trying to deny and forget,
Because we thought we knew what was right.
A year since we risked it all,
Since we took a chance.
A year of fighting our love,
Thinking we weren't right for each other.
It's been a year... So why does it feel like it was yesterday?
It's been a year... So why are you still in my thoughts?
It's been a year... So why do I still care?
It's been a year... So why do I still cry?
It's been a year... So why do I still love you?
