"quality over quantity."
"Seriously... of ALL timings..."
I muttered heavily to myself as I scrubbed the spot where my tear stained his shirt. It was not a tiny spot, it was like a rainfall of tears that showered onto his shirt. Although it was dry when I reach home, I could still see a faint spot that was stained.
Putting detergent soap on the shirt, I breathe in the fresh smell of lavender that the soap gave off. With my sleeves rolled up, I scrubbed the shirt, a train of confusing thoughts running through my mind as I scrubbed the shirt.
I wonder what they were doing outside? I swear if that brother of mine actually revealed all of my kid pictures...
-Meanwhile-
Hikaru's POV
My feet somehow brought me to the sofa in the living room and I plopped myself down on the sofa. It was comfortable, soft and actually warm.
Yeah, it's almost summer, but the living room was air conditioned.
"Are you Chiharu's classmate?" A masculine voice follows as the man sits on the arm chair.
"Y-Yeah."
"Thank goodness..."
He heaves a sigh of relief as he settled himself down. Wait, why did he say thank goodness for? He looked like he could finally let his stress go when he sighed. I stared at him blankly while these question wandered my mind.
"You see, ever since our parents passed away, Chiharu somehow became distant to many people. She probably still doesn't like to be around people a lot, maybe because she thought that if she is around people, then she would probably hurt them. Not to mention, she had been bullied before. So I was worried that she would grow up to be a timid and quiet adult. But, now I see she may not."
It took me at least a whole minute to process everything. But the main question is, why is he telling me all of these?
"Why are you telling me this?"
"Hah? You don't mean you haven't realise it yet?"
"Realise what?"
"That you have taken interest in her."
"HAH?"
"It's so obvious," He stifled a laugh as he spoke. I felt my face turn warmer than expected.
He stares at me with a smirk on his face before turning away from me. He stands up from his chair and walks over to the platinum blonde hair lady who was standing behind the kitchen counter.
