"Bash, there's nothing you can do." Juliet tried to comfort her husband. They all walked out into the snow. Juliet, Bash, Lola, and Julien
"That's exactly the problem, isn't it?" Bash pointed out. "I'm here while thousands bleed from English swords. And my brother..."
"Francis will survive the war. You must believe that."
"It's true Bash." Lola added in, stepping next to Juliet. Both their stomachs stuck out showing they were pregnant. However, Lola's was a bit bigger than Juliet considering she was further along. "There's no point in imagining anything else."
Juliet kicked the ball that was laying on the ground to Bash. He caught it as he looked back over at her. Bash and Julien played while Juliet stood close to them watching and Lola sat down.
Juliet looked back at Lola and smiled at her which she returned before wincing and grabbing her stomach in pain.
"Lola!" Juliet shouted, running over to her. The men followed. "Are you all right?"
"It's just a cramp. Uh, they've been happening." Lola explained. "But this one...uh, perhaps I should lie down."
They helped Lola to her feet and inside the castle.

"Greer told Lola not to worry about Julien, but I worry."
"You shouldn't." Bash said back to his wife. "This marriage happened very quickly. Let them find their way."
"You know."
"That Lola got pregnant by someone else. That's why she rushed to the altar."
"Do you know by who?" Juliet asked, a little frightened that he did.
"No. But I suspect you do." Juliet looked down, remembering what Mary had run to her, crying about. "Some cad who can't take responsibility. But she found Julien and maybe she's lucky. Her child will have a name, respectability..."
"She's in love with him. And if he's not in love with her..."
Bash shrugged. "She can never be free of him. They're wed."
"But she can protect her heart. And as her friend, I want to help her do that. As my husband, please help me."
"Help you to do what?"
"Find out more about Julien."
