"Colin's alive?" Mary questioned the king and Queen of France.

"Alive and escaped. He had help." The queen explained.

"Who?"

"Perhaps the English." The king guessed.

"But the attack...the execution..." Mary stuttered, still not believing what they had told her. "It all took place before they arrived."

"There always here, my dear." The queen said. "Spies and treachery are constant in our world. But you have our protection. The guards are out looking for Colin, and he will be found. There's a picnic this afternoon, for Madeline and Charles. But the perimeter will be guarded."

"Perhaps this is a mixed blessing. And I'll have a chance to speak with Colin once he's found, to learn how deep the plot against my people runs. You said yourself, Colin was a mere pawn."

"The informants who pointed at the English fled, fearing retribution."

"All I ask of you is that you bring him back alive. I need answers, and you did regret that he was executed so quickly not knowing my request."

"Colin is a dangerous fugitive. I cannot...we...cannot possibly guarantee that he won't attack the guards and be harmed or killed."

"We can promise to try." The King corrected his wife. Mary gave a relieved smile, as did the other five girls.

There was a knock on Juliet's door that night. She slowly opened it to see Bash standing there. His face was dirty, as were his clothes.

"Bash, I heard what happened to Colin. I'm so sorry you couldn't find him in time." Juliet opened the door wider and allowed Bash to enter.

"Yes, well I feel Mary is more disappointed than I am."

"Yes, she really wanted answers."

"How are you doing?"

"Um...fine I suppose. I'm just tired, I've been helping Lola get through this all day. Why?"

"I'm just making sure you're alright." Bash took a seat next to Juliet on her bed. She rested her head on his shoulder as he gave her a kiss on top of her head.

"This is so much harder than I thought it would be."

"Welcome to France." Bash joked with Juliet. The girl laughed a little, something she now only did when she was with Mary or him.

Juliet slowly lifted her head off his shoulder and placed a gentle kiss on his lips. It soon got more rough and passionate as Bash began to undo the ties on her dress. Juliet pulled back a little wide eyed. "Are you sure?"

"I think I've waited for you long enough."

"I've only been in France a few weeks."

"And yet, it's felt like years without you."

Juliet smiled again and pulled him back into a kiss. She didn't stop him when he began to untie her dress again or when it went further than she has gone with any man before.
