Shoma pov.

I was so happy that Yuzuru had stuck by me. He was always so encouraging when I was in Toronto. He wouldn't let me look at the letters and obsess over them because he knew that they would make me sad. He'd always tell me that I was beautiful every single day so I wouldn't believe the things in the letter. He complimented me on my jumps because he knew that I would immediately be engulfed by my failure. He treated me like his savior; as if he owed me his life. 

But that couldn't last and I had to return to Nagoya. I felt relaxed on my way back home. Everything was mostly going well for me. I was confident for the upcoming Four Continents, I and Yuzuru had worked out that bump in our relationship and my studies were going very well.Mihoko complimented on my improvement of the quad flip and the quad loop. I was pretty confident about everything. But saying stuff like that is inviting karma into my house.

I had been back in Japan for only two weeks when I had gotten an urgent text from my brother.

Itsuki: We're having a family dinner in three days

Shoma: (｀_')ゞ We usually eat as a family

Itsuki: No, I mean the whole family. Like everyone.

Shoma: What?! Why so sudden?

Itsuki: I heard mom on the phone, apparently it has something with you

Shoma: What?

Itsuki: IDK I think it might have something to do with you being gay

Shoma: I didn't think it was a problem 

Itsuki: Yeah, I mean mom and dad were pretty chill about you being gay.

Shoma:( •᷄⌓•᷅ )

Itsuki: Hey, don't freak out. I mean our family is pretty open-minded so I don't think anything bad will happen. Besides, they could've just been talking about your competitions

Shoma: yeah, that's likely

Itsuki: Hey, don't sweat. If someone says anything bad about you, I'll punch them

Shoma: Have those American TV shows been rubbing off you? You can't punch everything to solve your problems

Itsuki: I'm just saying that if someone talks smack about you, I'll fight for you

Shoma: Thanks

Itsuki: You think Marianne is going to show up? She usually doesn't attend family outings

Shoma: That's true. I don't know why though. Maybe

Itsuki: Because if she does, I want her to bring her dog over. Seriously,  I was walking Snowball when I met Kiyomi (girlfriend) and she said, "I like guys who can take care of dogs. I think it shows that they're responsible."

Shoma: Are you serious?

Itsuki: Yes! I need to take a ton of photos and upload them to Instagram

Shoma: Why don't you just go to her house?

Itsuki: It's too far. Anyways, are you going to be home for dinner today?

Shoma: Yeah, I'll be there

Itsuki: K

Shoma: Hey, you free?

Sota: Yeah, what's up

Shoma: Did you ask Wakaba?

Sota: Yep, and she said yes o((*^▽^*))o

Shoma: Congrats

Sota: Yeah, and thank you for declining. Also, how was it with Yuzuru?

Shoma: It was amazing

Sota: That's good to hear. Did you guys do anything? *wink**wink*

Shoma: What? No?! I wouldn't dream of it

Sota: Yeah, like that totally awkward moment when you were moaning Yuzuru's name over and over again in your sleep wasn't a thing. It was so awkward, I wanted to die right there

Shoma: It wasn't anything dirty

Sota: Sure. Anyway, did you need something?

Shoma: Yeah, in three days there's going to be a family dinner and I'm worried

Sota: Why?

Shoma: I'm afraid the topic of me being gay might come up

Sota: Oh. But isn't your family open minded?

Shoma: My parents are and so are my cousins but my grandparents and my aunt and uncle do not have a good reputation with things like this

Sota: I see

Shoma: Yeah...

Sota: Well, if something goes wrong, I fight them for you

Shoma: Thanks

Sota: Well, I mean you can't run away from it, so...

Shoma: Yeah, I know. But thanks anyway

Shoma: Yuzuru, are you awake?

Yuzuru: Just woke up

Shoma: Oh, good morning

Yuzuru: And good morning to you to my love

Shoma: I have a problem

Yuzuru: Is it the stalker?（；¬__¬)

Shoma: No it isn't the stalker

Yuzuru: Good. So what's the problem

Shoma: I have to attend a family dinner and I'm afraid the topic of me bring gay might come up

Yuzuru: But your parents were ok with you dating me

Shoma: They were but the rest of my family are not so open-minded

Yuzuru: Oh

Shoma: What should I do?

Yuzuru: Well you have no choice but to attend, but don't give too much thought about them. I'll be supporting you

Shoma: Thanks

Yuzuru: No problem. Of course, I'll support you, what kind of future husband would I be?

Shoma: Hahahaha you still have to bring me to Ishigaki

Yuzuru: Don't worry, I will. How does July sound?

Shoma: I'm free during that time

Yuzuru: Perfect. Crystal clear water, fresh air, amazing food, and the fact that I already booked it at the InterContinental Ishigaki Resort

Shoma: Yuzuru! That's expensive

Yuzuru: It's five-star. The love of my life deserves only the best

Shoma:..fine

Yuzuru: Besides, the walls are thicker so I can do whatever I want to you. On the table, on the bed....

Shoma: Yuzuru!! 

Yuzuru: hahahaha sorry. But still, I wouldn't mind (￣ω￣)

Shoma: We'll see. But thank you. I'll call you later

Yuzuru: Bye (っ˘̩╭╮˘̩)っ I'll see you in the morning, my love
