Serena's POV

Impact shuddered through my body, my legs giving way, and I fell to the floor. I looked sprung - the room I was in was quite dark, but it could make out the figure of somebody lying slightly my right.

I stood up slowly, shocking for any injuries as I arose. Once I was sure that I was not hurt, I noticed that Rory was there, but only Rory.

We must have been separated, purposefully or not, from the others as we came through the gravity tunnel.

'Where the hell is everyone?' Said Rory when he saw me.

'I have no idea.' I muttered, assessing the surroundings.

The room was rather dark and cold - as though it hadn't been used in many long years. But, as my eyes adjusted to the low light, I managed to make out the outline of a dozen or more Daleks surrounding us.

'Rory, can you see them?'

'Yeah,' he said, looking around, too. 'Oh - don't - be careful!' He gasped as I walked off, weaving between the Daleks. Rory followed me.

We reached a solid door - I hit my fist against it, but nothing happened. It didn't even make a sound.

There was a control panel to the right of the door. We needed some sort of number code to get through this door.

Inputting the wrong code would almost certainly set of alarms, or trigger the Daleks to wake up from whatever coma they were in.

'Serena, you might want to be careful with that,' said Rory in a fatherly voice. Lily really did have nice parents.

'You should be careful, too!' I exclaimed.

Rory had leaned backwards, the bare skin of his hand coming into contact with a Dalek that stood behind him.

Rory cussed.

The blue light in the Dalek's eye lit up again. And, in quick succession, as did the eyes of the other Daleks.

I turned to the control panel behind me and input random numbers.

Access denied, read the red wording on the panel. An alarm blared around us. 'Come on!' I screamed, pounding on the door, to no avail - the door was perfectly soundproof, anyway, so nobody on the other side would hear any of this.

'Hey, you!' The voice of that girl - Oswin - from earlier rang out from the room. 'You two! What're you doing?'

'Trying to not get killed!' I shouted. 'I'm Serena, that's Rory, now please, would you get us out of here?'

One of the Daleks trained it's blue eye on us, and the others copied.

'Just give me a moment!' Came Oswin's voice.

'Exterminate!' Said the Dalek in front of us.

But, seconds before it shot a jet of - clearly fatal - light at us, the door slid open, and Rory and I managed to squeeze through it before it had opened fully. Oswin then closed the door before it had fully opened.

'Serena! Dad!' I heard Lily's voice say, and I felt her arms squishing the two of us together. Again with the hugging!

But, that wasn't the biggest problem right now.

My eyes wandered up to Amy, who was swaying, a distant look in her eye.

'Amy...' I said slowly. 'Where's your bracelet?'

Amy fell to the floor.
