So, it’s been over a month since I last updated. Well, this month is FLYING BY! ======== <-- Flying marks. Lol. April has been going by so fast, and it feels like it was JUST February. :)
It’s awesome that I’m on chapter eleven already! I’ve never gotten this far on a story ever, so this is pretty cool . . . Even though I don’t update frequently. =D
Thanks for reading, my peeps!
Now it’s time for chapter to the eleven!

Recap:
When we got back to the orphanage, Miss Shay was looking in all of the rooms, searching for something. She accidentally ran into me, and smiled when she noticed who she just crashed into.
“Cat!” she exclaimed, smiling brightly at me.
“What?” I asked carefully, not sure what was going to happen.
“Kevin and Sarah want to adopt you!” she squealed.
My eyes practically bulged out of their sockets. “Are you kidding me?!”
“Nope! I’m just so happy!”
“Okay . . . When do they want me?”
“Tomorrow!”
Tomorrow?
Chapter Eleven
I sat numbly on my bed, wishing I didn’t have to go so soon. I had billions of questions. What would my new life be like? Would everyone hate me? Would I go to public school? Will I ever see my friends again? Will I make new ones? Why do I have to go so soon? Why now?
I guess I should be grateful that I’m going to be living in a real home, but I don’t want to leave my friends and the life I have here. Even if Kevin and Sarah want me so badly, can’t they wait long enough for me to say goodbye and everything?
Someone knocked at the door, interrupting my thoughts. I looked up. It was Danny.
He looked sympathetic. “Hey. How ya doing?”
I played with the frayed edges of my baby blanket on my bed. I didn’t answer him.
He sighed. “Look, I know that you must have a lot of questions.”
I looked up at him. “Yeah, billions. How did you know?”
“Because who just went through a big change?” he asked, pointing to himself. “Oh, yeah, me!”
I let out a little chuckle. “What was it like? Going through a big change like that?”
“It was awkward, uncomfortable, surprising, and mysterious.”
“Ah, it always is, going through puberty for the first time,” I said seriously.
Danny looked thoroughly confused. “What?” Then a bulb lit up in his head. “Oh! No, I didn’t mean that! Gross, Cat!”
“But I thought all of you boys were gross and enjoyed talking about those things?”
“Come on, do you really think that us guys sit around and talk about puberty?” He wrinkled his nose. “Well, maybe we talk about some stuff that you girls go ‘Ew!’ at . . . ,”
“Okay! Okay! I get the point!”
“Okay. And I wasn’t talking about that, I was talking about moving here.”
