"How are you feeling?" Ender asks. I shrug, knowing that hell still bother me. He places a hand in my forehead and frowns. "You're burning up. Did anything happen?" I shake my head. "Okay.. Ill let you rest." Ender clicks the overhead light off and returns to the front of the pod.

I haven't known Ender long, but I can tell that he is having trouble understanding the new buggers. He's stressed and now he has to worry about me. My head starts to throb, so I close my eyes and let the soft beeping of buttons help me sleep.

--

"Elena, I made some breakfast. Probably not the best, but it'll do." Ender's cold hands on my arms make me shiver. I sit up and rub the sleep out of my eyes with my palms.

"Thank you." I say as I take a small packet from him. It was warm to the touch. I take a small sip and warmth filled my body.

"How are you feeling?" Ender asks.

I look up at him. "This might sound weird.. But I can't see you." My vision was blurred to the point where I could t make out the silhouette of Ender.

I hear Ender swallow. "Your eyes are glazed over. Are you sure nothing happened?"

I bite my lip. "The scorpion stung me." I say quietly.

"Why didn't you tell me? You have no idea what that thing does. I'm not an expert but I know enough not to get stung by it." Ender shouts.

"I'm sorry." I let my head hang. "What will happen now?"

Ender takes a moment before answering. "For all I know, you'll die."
