Haruka's gaze softened as Kisame gently wrapped his fingers around hers. "I'm scared too, Haruka. You're not alone here."

An amused smile made its way onto her face, "Was that supposed to make me feel better?"

"Not exactly, Princess." The Hoshigaki admitted with a cringe, before he kissed her forehead, "But I know you won't leave. I believe in you."

"Yeah, I'll be back in no time. I still need to finish the preparations, right?"

"You can leave that one to me."

"Hoshigaki-san, would you please leave the room? We want to start the surgery now."

"Alright," he replied, "See you soon, Haruka?"

She gave him a grin, reaching out to his neck, pulling him down and locked their lips in a kiss. She released him not long after, and with the man still flustered, she gave him a confident smile.

"I hope that wasn't a question. It's an order, right?"

"Yes. Return immediately once youre done." He stated, smirking slightly.

"Understood. Wish me luck, Kisame!"

"You don't need that." He replied with a shrug, before he walked away from the bed, waving as he exited the room.

"You'd better not die, Uchiha." Haruka heard her doctor said.

"You bet I won't, Senju."

"Have some respect." Tsunade muttered, pulling out an injection.

As the needle entered her skin, Haruka gave the woman a smug smile.

"I politely decline, Hokage-sama."

Then her consciousness slipped away.

Haruka narrowed her eyes in confusion. It was dark at first, but not long after she saw a light far in front of her, like 'death' in stories. Strange, she thought, I'm sure I had just went unconscious a few seconds ago.

The light shone even brighter, covering everything in white. As it faded away, she realized that the scene had already changed.

She was back in the Uchiha Clan compound. Standing in the middle of it, wearing the Akatsuki cloak. The place was empty, silent, blood splattered on the ground.

The massacre already took place, it seems.

"Haruka?" A voice called her name. She tensed immediately, knowing who it is.

"Shisui?" Haruka asked back, not even turning around. She doesn't want to face him. I already failed him, she reminded herself, I do not deserve his forgiveness.

The next time she blinked, he already stood in front of her. Instinctively, she looked down, but he gently lifted her chin, and her could see him smiling down at her.

"It's been a while," he muttered, giving her a sad smile. Haruka weakly nodded, staying still as he now pulled up her sleeves.

"You stopped just recently, didn't you?"

Another nod.

"Much later than I expected. How long has it been? Eight years?"

"...Sorry."

"Doesn't matter," he replied, now grinning, and suddenly pulled her into a hug, "I have to thank you, Haruka. You saved the village, I wouldn't be able to do that."

"And they all died. Killed."

"True. But think about the lives you saved. The war you prevented. The peace you protected."
