Chapter Four

I walk over to the two siblings. They both look at me and Zoe smiles.

" Hey Connor. Um who's house we going to?"

I ask him as politely as I can. The two look over at me and Connor thinks about it for a moment.

" I guess we can go to mine."

He tell me a minute later. I nod and pull out my phone to send a quick text to my dad telling him I'm going to work on a project at a friend's house. After a minute or two he sends me a text back telling me that was fine and that he already picked up my brother.

" Ok my dad said that's alright."

I tell the two Connor nods his head and Zoe looks at me confused. While we're walking to their house Zoe looks at me and says

" So your dad said it was alright to go home with my brother?"

I smile at her and noticed Connor roll his eyes.

" I didn't tell him about that I just told him I was going to a friend's house to work on a project."

I tell her showing her the texts. She smiles and nods her head. We continue to walk to their house when I get a phone call. I look down and see it's my older brother.

" Hello thing 1."

I say to him as Connor looks over at me and a small smile plays on his lips.

" Ok first off rude."

He says to me. I giggle and put the phone on speaker.

" Your on speaker so don't say anything stupid."

" Who are you with that I can't say anything stupid? I've already met Lena and Fawn."

He says to me me. I sigh loudly and dramatically.

" I'm with friends. And don't you dare start singing the friends theme song!"

I say to him. He stays quiet for a minute before bursting out with the friends theme song. I hang up on him giggling with Zoe.

" Sorry my brother weird."

I say to them still laughing. Me and Zoe continue talking until we get to their house. Me and Connor walk in while Zoe goes straight to her room.

" Oh hi! Connor you didn't tell me you were going to bring anyone home!"

His mother says when she spots us. Connor blushes and tells me to go to his room while he explains what we're doing. Soon after that he walks in and sits down on his bed while I have take his desk chair.

" So what do you have so far?"

He asks me and I look back through my notes and seeing I only got like 2 or 3.

" Well I got that The brain weights about 3.3 pounds and it takes up about 2% of the human body weight."

I tell him reading from my note again. He nods and starts to look through his own notes.

" I got that you can die from heart break because there are tendons in your heart that if tore can kill you."

He tells me setting his notes down. I sigh and pull my phone out going to google. He pulls out his laptop and I notice some stickers on the back of some of my favorite band. I look at them wide-eyed for a moment before looking back down. I search up some other things and write them down. Only after I get a text from my dad asking if I was staying for dinner do I realize what time it is. I look at the clock and see it's 5:30.

"Oh crap!"

I say to no one. He looks up at me with a questioning look and I show him the time and his eyes go wide.

"Um do you want to stay for dinner?"

He asks I look at him a little shocked.

" If your mom says that's fine."

I tell him. 'He asked you if you wanted to because he likes you' My mind says but I push those thoughts back and we walk down to ask his mom.

"Oh there you two are! I though you two fell asleep! (Y/N) would you like to stay for dinner?"

His mother asks when we walk in. I nod my head shyly and she tells us that dinners ready so we could take a seat. I sit next to Connor and across from Zoe.

"So what project are you two working on?"His father asks us.

" We're doing research on the brain for science." Connor says to him as I am busy with food.

" Why don't you give us a fact then?"

His mother asks and we turn to each other and smile knowing the perfect one.

" The human brain is the largest of all vertebres." I say

" And that's weird cause you would have thought we would have the biggest mouth." He says after me.

Zoe starts laughing and I join her soon afterwards. I see their parents roll their eyes but laugh anyways. After we finish dinner me and Connor go back upstairs to grab my things.

"Do you want me to walk you home because it's like 7:00? "

He asks me as we walk down the stairs. I nod my head and he goes to tell his parent that he's walking me home. I wait at the door for him to come back. Soon he walks back to me and he steps out and we start to walk. As we're walking he pulls out his phone and checks something. I feel my phone buzzing and when I look it's my dad calling. I answer it and he asks if I'm staying the night.

" No dad I'm not staying the night. He's walking me home now. We'll be there in a little bit."

" He's walking you? Who's he?"

My father asks me. I sigh and tell him that Connor is walking me and we should be there in about 10 minutes. He hangs up and we continue walking.

" So you tell him now that I'm walking you home?"

I hear him ask. I turn to him and I see him smiling. I smile back and laugh.

"Oh don't worry he won't hurt you."

I tell him as we walk up to my door. I open the door and thank him.

" I'll see you tomorrow."

I tell him and he waves at me walking away.

Hello everyone! So I've decided I will try to upload at least once or twice a day depending on what I'm doing.
