I had heard a couple guys talking across the park, I sat up straight and I got a whiff of their scent, I let out a hiss through my fangs, I look up and see the guys walking, they looked drunk.
"W-what's wrong" Lilith muttered loud enough for me to hear.
"Fledgling vampires" I sneered slightly. I stood up from where I was sitting and crept towards the boys, due to my able to hear from loud distances I could hear them talking,
"Dude... Dude... I swear I could smell a human... C'mon I'm not lying" I heard one slur. I walked back over to Lilith and I tapped her shoulder, "Lilith we need to go." I whisper, apparently it was not only loud enough for her to hear but the boys as well heard.
"See! There they are!" I heard one shout. I muttered a couple cuss words under my breath before grabbing Lilith's hand and putting her onto my back then running at the fasted speed my vampire body could go. I sprinted back to the mansion and set Lilith down on the ground, I heard soft cries, I turned to look at her, she was hyperventilating and crying quietly.
"Hey, Hey, Hey, Lilith what's wrong?" She just shook her head and walked over to the steps and sat on one of the steps and tried breathing normally again.
