Chapter 27

I hugged Benny quickly, I-I thought he was dead. I bursted into tears. Benny was my ex boyfriend, we were together for a couple years. Until last year when he went missing. Benny looked up at me surprised and pulled me into an embrace and twirled me around. He kissed my forehead quickly. I pulled away from him, I had just realized something. I slapped him across the face.

"Where the hell have you been, I've been worried sick Benny! You just up and disappear with the only explanation being that you've given up?" I yelled, he looked down at the floor ashamed.

"Ash.. All I can say is, I'm sorry... I felt like I needed to kill myself because my parents finally kicked me out. I eventually pulled myself back together and I wasn't sure when I should find you again... I met up with some homeless people and they've been helping me." he explained. I looked up and down at him, I bit my lip and muttered "You should have told me.." he let out a sigh and closed the fridge and placed his hands on my hips and pulled me close to him. He gently kissed the top of my head. And spoke out, "I didn't want you to feel like I was a child, since I couldn't live on my own..." I looked up at him with tears in my eyes.

"You could have at least told me you were still alive..." I said quietly, he nodded.

"You're right, that's what I should have done, I'm sorry my lil' fire."

I smile up at him, he used to always call me that because of my name and how angry I can get.

An hour or so passes and I noticed that my mom and dad were going to be home very soon. Benny decided to leave his homeless gang and live with me instead, even though my parents hated Benny. We decided to leave the house and go to the bakery I always went to when Benny and I were still together. The place was fairly close by, walking distance. I opened the door giggling with Benny, the familiar ring of the door occured bringing back good memories. I looked up and saw Lilith cleaning off the counter. I didn't expect her to be here, it's 1:30, she should be at school still.
