Chapter 32

Ash bite her lip slightly, maybe she felt a bit self conscious of Mrs. Zurie looking at her. She eventually said "It's fine Lilith, we can chat another time, I'm sure Benny will be happy that it's just us." She smile and walk back over to the guy, who was just getting up. As they left, Mrs. Zurie mutter in a low tone to me, "I know that girl, she's a bad girl... If you're hanging around with girls like her you might end up like her. She's a bad influence on you Lilith, I've seen her and her boyfriend around doin' drugs and such a couple years ago, seems like she's still the same." I frown and i say " Mrs. Zurie, she is better than you think. She may seem the same but she may have changed!" Mrs. Zurie sighed and finished her usual order before paying me and leaving without a word.

I frowned and sighed sadly. An hour or so passes and a coworker came by to end my shift. I changed out of my work attire and made my way to my bike. After picking up my bike and putting my helmet on for safety, i head out towards my home.

Unfortunately as i rode down one of the hills towards my house, a guy who looked around my age....maybe older, with blackish brown hair and pale skin ( almost like mine ), suddenly came out from around a corner. He was reading a book and hadn't noticed me speeding down the hill. I was too close to move out of the way without me crashing into him. I try to swerve out of the way, letting out a small scream as i missed him by a hair........but slamming into a pole and then a wall. I hate my usual clumsiness even when i don't try to be clumsy.
