The day was going good so far. Mrs. Zurie stayed to chat with me for awhile. But she soon had to leave, saying she had some quick errands to run. But she reassured me that she would return shortly. I glanced at the clock once she left. 1:26pm. I decided to start cleaning a bit. The bell on the door soon rang, signalling a customer coming in, while I was wiping down the counter. I sighed and glanced at one of my co-workers who was taking some orders from other customers.
I finished wiping down the counter just as the customers come up to the front counter. "Ash, you look surprised. Do you know her?" one of them said. I stiffened slightly and looked up to see that ash and what looked to be a man in his 20's standing in front of me. "Uh...Uh....yeah, she's my friend. Her name is Lilith." Ash mumbled, looking at me in surprise "she should be in school right now. Lilith....why aren't you in school?" I sigh and mumble "I don't want to talk about that." Ash nods slightly and looks at all the baked goods that were in a glass case by the front counter. The man that was standing right next to her, smiled at her as she looked at all the baked goods. "I wonder if they still have our old favorite baked goody" the man says, chuckling slightly.
