"Resistance? So this is the famous resistance?" Kano asks.

Razor nods, starting to walk off again. He leads us to the smaller cabins, and walks into one on the middle row. There are three rows total.

The cabin's empty except for four sets of bunk beds, each with a small trunk in front of it. A door leads to outside, where I assume is the bathroom. I would think since this is a camp, the bathrooms are communal.

"This is where you all will be staying. We don't have other people as roommates for you, so consider yourselves lucky. The bathrooms are right behind the cabin next you, so it's a quick trip," Razor says.

He walks over to the door, before turning around. "Dinner and your introduction are in an hour, and after that we'll have a meeting with you three. For now, get used to your new living space. Oh and also," he says, motioning over to the side of the door, where a bag lay. "That's your stuff, all in new, non-bugged bags. See you later."

He exits, closing the door before leaving.

I go over to the bags, opening them up. Everything we had with us is in there, even the snacks Kano bought us.

"Wow, I can't believe it," Rosaline mutters.

She goes over to a bunk, opening the trunk in front of it. "I call this one," she calls over her shoulder.

Kano claims his next to Rosaline's, and I take mine across from them. I grab my stuff, placing it all in my trunk. Once I'm done, I get onto the top part of the bunk using the ladder, curling up into a ball there.

This is real. A resistance. A place for Specials to live freely. Maybe this is my chance to be useful. I want to be. I want to be a part of something bigger, something that will be for the greater good. I don't want to stay a naive little boy or a pawn. I want to be important. Maybe here I can do that.

A small smile makes it's way to my face. I know I can do it. This is the place where we're free. I can leave my past behind, and stride forward into a better future.

"Ryan? You okay?" Rosaline asks from her bed.

I nod, sitting up. "Yes. I'm fine."

A small smile makes it's way onto my face. A fresh start. That's what we need. A new beginning.

"So, we're here now. What are we supposed to do? Fight the government with a bunch of kids and peers?" Kano asks, sarcasm dripping of his words.

Rosaline rolls her eyes. "Of course. We'll train and we'll fight. It's the only way we can be free."

"That's not true. I've been doing fine for this long. We don't need to be here to live freely," he argues.

"Well, maybe not you, but Ryan and I need safety. We're wanted by the government. We need to keep low and learn how to defend ourselves properly. Ryan has never received training before. Besides, if this works, all Specials could be free!" Rosaline counters.

Kano scoffs, and then they both start to argue. I stay silent the whole time. Why intervene? I would only make things worse, and we don't need that. Kano and Rosaline are always arguing. From the moment we first got into the car to drive, they've been arguing about everything. From the smallest issues like whether someone got more food than the other, to the bigger issues like where we'll rest or what we'll do.

I let them slowly fizzle out, until they're both silent, facing away from each other. They're almost like kids, but aren't we all? We're all just teenagers. We shouldn't have to worry this much. And yet, here we are, worrying about anything and everything.
