Lance's POV

The next morning, I woke up with a sore body. My limbs were numb and my weight crushed over the rock hard ground. I pat all around my sides to the realization that Keith wasn't in my arms anymore. This made me panic. Did Keith fall off the edge? That can't be...

I clumsily ran out of the tent and looked around. Dammit... where the hell is he? I leaned over and gulped as I saw the lake at the bottom of the mountain. What if he fell in the middle of the night? My breathing grew heavy and my eyes stung.

"Lance, what's up?" I hear Pidge's voice yawn behind me. I shoot a worried look at her and she gives me a confused look in return.

"Where is he? Where's Keith?!"

"I don't know."

You're fucking kidding me. This can't be happening. I only knew Keith for how long? Two days? He can't just fucking disappear like that. He can't be fucking dead. Keith is my precious, sweet, adorable boy. I can't lose him. Not now. It's too early for this shit.

"Where is Hunk? Tell him that Keith is missing" I ordered and Pidge nods, crawling back into the tent to spread the word to my fellow best friend.

The world was spinning around me. My vision was going dizzy. I ran my hands tightly to my hair and gripped it messily. My teeth shivered uncontrollably. Fuck... fuck...

"FUCK!" I explode. Keith. Where the hell are you?

"Lance, we need to pack up. Come on, we'll find him later" Hunk says as the two of them leave the tent and start taking it down together. I can't... I can't think about him later. I need to be finding him now. The longer we wait, the worse this could get.

"I'll do it later" I huffed and grabbed my shoes. On my way down the mountain alone, I heard the wind blow through the trees and goosebumps rose on my tan skin. Something caught my eye when a red stained leaf flies into my face. Leaves aren't suppose to be red... not when this mountain had green leaved trees.

I slowly peeled it off my face and examined. Smells weird... it wasn't just a red leaf. But it was like painted red.

To my left, I found droplets of red paint leading into the bushes by the lake. What...

Feelings of perturbation ran through my mind. No... that's definitely blood. I began to follow the trail.

"Keith!" I yell as I see him sitting between two boulders, clearly in pain. God dammit...

"Ah! Wait, stay away for a sec" He notices me running to him and flinches when I try to push the boulders off.

Stay away for a sec? For a sec? No way. He can't expect me to just leave him there to bleed. What was he thinking? Was he trying to hurt himself on purpose? Was he trying to make me worried? What was Keith trying to prove?

"No, i'm helping you out of there" I argue and pry one of the boulders back. The cute boy moaned in pain and snapped at me.

"Take it slow, will ya?"

I began to move the boulder a little slower to ease his pain. Keith slightly moves his leg and flinches, sucking in air between his teeth. Once free, I bent down in the sandy dirt and took off my shirt, wrapping it over and around his leg, tying a tight little knot at the end. Keith bit his index finger, trying not to groan in pain. He whimpered, his eyes closed, and his jaw slightly shaking.

"What were you thinking!" I bellowed in anger/fear.

"sorry..." little water droplets formed in the corner of his eyes and he started breaking into tears. Wait. Was he really going to cry right now?
